9 months ago my husband and I were looking for a reliable used vehicle for my son for college. Bill Gezon came out to greet us, and we told him we wanted a very reliable vehicle for his 4 years of school. used vehicle for my son for college. He said he had just the car for us, a 2013 VW Tiguan, just turned in by an older couple who took excellent care of the vehicle. He said they would run it through an in depth inspection and when done he told us it was all good! He also told our son that it would last him well beyond the 4 years of college if he took good care of it. We were sold, hook line and sinker, literally. Within 6 months, even before the first oil change was due, the cars brakes went out… there was very little when you pressed on the brakes. That was a costly repair. Then, within the next three months, the cars engine started jerking and the engine light came on. We again took it back and found out the spark plugs and coil packs had to be replaced for another $750 AND the turbo booster was shot and it would cost us another $2700. Additionally they indicated we had broken coil springs and had to replace entire front suspension. They also printed up a list of things they suggested we needed to repair soon. All of this came to over $5000 for a car that we paid $10,000 for just 9 months ago that was supposed to last for years. We asked them to buy it back and we would purchase another vehicle as my son can’t afford these kind of expensive problems while in college. Bill Gezon told us the car is only worth $1,000 from a wholesaler with all the repairs needed and he couldn’t find anyone to take it. He also said their dealership would not even give us that for it, would not buy it back, and would do nothing for us. We bought a supposedly fantastic vehicle, one that Bill couldn’t say enough about, one that he indicated was so reliable and would go 300,000 miles and it turned out to be a huge lemon and there is no accountability from Bill Gezon or management or Gezon motors. His final words were… sometimes that happens with used cars and we aren’t going to do anything further. I would never buy from this dealership again… please beware! More
No words can express how unsatisfied I have been with multiple visits for service. The communication is very poor, I have paid for a number of costly repairs that did not solve the problems, and would ho multiple visits for service.
