We live in Lakeland, but made the hour ++ drive to Bradenton specifically to go to this dealership. I spent the prior week online researching both the Prius & Camrys. I had really good phone conversations with Shelby M. who was very friendly & helpful with all my questions, but most of all, there was no "hard sell" as with other dealerships I was also talking to. Tracy Peters ended up being our sales Consultant when we arrived. We took up quite a bit of her time, as we had lots of questions about the Prius technology. We actually ended up with a new Highlander---we currently have a 2002 Highlander that has never given us a bit of trouble. We feel we got a good price on the new car & also a fair and reasonable price for our trade. There were NEVER any high pressure tactics (which we hate) and everyone made us feel like part of the family. Tracy was wonderful & we'll be back to see her in a couple of years when we pick up a Prius. There is no question that we highly recommend this dealership for sales & we hope to have the same great experience with their service department. More

The price agreed to was very reasonable (the best in the area). Financing was done in a comfortable, non-stressful environment. I had time to consider my options without feeling pressured. I was treated with respect and honesty which is very important to me. The finance department took the time to explain all of the options to me in great detail so that I knew exactly what each option consisted of and the cost for these items were fair. The parts department has been wonderful to deal with and at no time did I feel that I needed any unnecessary items. The service department has been very friendly and delivered the car in beautiful condition and has gone out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. I can’t say enough about this dealer and would not hesitate and have not hesitated to refer my friends to them for their car buying needs. More

I purchased an Audi A4 at this dealership. Little did I know, the convertible top had a defect, that would not be covered under my warranty. I brought the car to the Audi dealership, and they said the cost know, the convertible top had a defect, that would not be covered under my warranty. I brought the car to the Audi dealership, and they said the cost would be a whopping $10,000, and is not covered under my extended warranty. I went back to Toyota of Lakewood, and they tried to work with the warranty company but couldn't get them to cover the cost. Eric continued to try to work with the warranty company, but was unable to resolve the problem. Finally, Peter Hawley, GM, took a personal interest in the situation. He investigated the situation, and offered me options. He was willing to have his dealership personally cover the cost of the replacement top and related parts. If I had "turned sour" on the car, Peter was ready and willing to take my car back, and let me pick from his extended inventory of any car I should choose. I selected to keep the Audi, and this dealership not only paid several thousand dollars for the entire replacement, but gave me a loaner convertible while it was being replaced. Furthermore, before returning my car, Peter had it washed and filled up the tank with gas. It was clear to me that this relatively new dealership, under Peter's leadership, is focused on earning a reputation as a leader in ultimate customer service. This is not a dealership that will sell you a car, and then leave you flat. They stand behind their word, and then some!!! I highly recommend Toyota of Lakewood to anyone seeking a new or used car. "Over the top customer service" is worth it's weight in gold. All of my future car purchases will begin and end with this dealership. More
