(Keith apologized at the time, and said he had been “busy.”) It was fifteen minutes into the fifth hour when I decided to visit his station and ask about my status. He said that I was “next” at the car wash. I had a doctor appointment and had to leave NOW, so he went and got the car for me before it was washed. I made my doctor appointment with 20 seconds to spare. As usual, your mechanics did fine work, and my car runs beautifully and smoothly. However, I left angry and nervous, and with my car still unwashed. More

My experience with Michael, the service manager, was both horrendous and unprofessional. The sequence of events leading to this negative review began when I was charged for a wheel alignment that should have horrendous and unprofessional. The sequence of events leading to this negative review began when I was charged for a wheel alignment that should have been covered under Toyota’s maintenance plan. To provide a bit of context, my prior conversation with Michael had revolved around a tire replacement caused by an unforeseen road hazard, not a significant impact that might have knocked the alignment out. In our initial interaction, I expressed concern about a tire that I had to replace due to it being sliced by something on the road. My main worry was whether using mismatched tires could adversely affect vehicle wear. Michael assured me that as long as the alignment was correct, it wouldn’t be an issue and offered to have it checked. Later, he informed me that the alignment was off and proceeded with realignment services. It was only after this that I recalled Toyota’s maintenance plan, which should cover the cost of the alignment. Upon calling Toyota to verify, they confirmed my coverage and initiated a refund process. Surprisingly, a week later, Michael called me, questioning my entitlement to the refund and mischaracterizing our earlier interaction. He insinuated that a road impact had caused the alignment issue, which was not the case I presented to him. It’s imperative to note that the wheel that had the tire replaced was not even one of those out of alignment, as per the alignment sheet Michael provided, further validating that the alignment issue was unrelated to the tire incident. It was not only deeply unprofessional of Michael to question me about a refund that had been authorized by Toyota but also to misrepresent our initial conversation, implying that the alignment issue was my fault and, therefore, not covered by the maintenance plan. Any disagreements or misunderstandings regarding the refund should have been addressed with Toyota directly, not contested with the customer. In summary, I found myself defending a valid refund over a call I should never have had to field. More
