Reluctantly I took my Tundra back into the dealer for the 100,000 mile service. It was a big bill due to having all the fluids changed, oil change, all the filters, brake rotors turned and belts replaced. It 100,000 mile service. The assistant manager "Mike" kept touting that he saved me 100.00. While thankful for 100.00 discount, they didnt even wash the vehicle after having it from 0800 in the morning till approximately 4:30 pm. But, my real problem is that after I dropped my vehicle off, I recieved a phone call from a guy named "John" that stated he noticed 4 rock chips in my glass in front of the drivers side line of view. He also said he can get that taken care of for me, just provide picture ID and insurance info. I said sure. American Auto Glass (AAG) came out to install an AFTERMARKET windshield, however the glass was defective and could not be installed. Round two started Friday May 2, AAG came out installed AFTERMARKET glass again. Staurday morning I got in my truck and started off to work when I noticed that looking through the glass, it was as if I was wearing bifocals! I don't wear prescription glasses or contacts. I called AAG immediatly and told them the issue. They sais it would be next Thursday to repair the glass. I informed them I use my vehicle for my business and that time fram was unacceptable. "Jennifer" with AAG stated she spoke to a manager and they would be out first thing (5 May) Monday morning. Today is Monday and guess who is not showing up. I recieved a call from another lady from AAG (Valerie??) and she said it would be late afternoon now. I said ok, however I want OEM TOYOTA glass to be installed. They said that they would have to check with the insurance company for approval. Meanwhile, I called "John" to express my frustration with this mess since he initiated the whole deal. Needless to say, no call back, no text, crickets. So now I have a vehicle that is not safe to operate, which I require for my small business. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM! I would think Gettel Toyota would have better business practices than this. I said in my previous post that Venice Toyota was a much better dealership, Gettel just got my last dollar! More
I had a great experience with the service department and managers. They were nothing but professional courteous and very pleasant to work with. I recommend gettle Toyota for services to your car. I recently reviewed this dealership, comma I have since come to an agreement that is very satisfactory by talking to the general manager. I arrived 15 minutes early for an oil change appointment I scheduled through the dealership's online portal. Others had waited 45 minutes. We were beginning to think they had gone home early and not told anyone. 10 minutes late isn't a big deal. However he informed me they couldn't provide the service I was scheduled for because it was too late in the day to get the parts in. When I pointed out I had scheduled the appointment the previous day he said because I made the appointment online they didn't insure they had the necessary parts on had and it was too late to order them. When I pointed out I had provided the vehicle make model and VIN and received a confirmation email that morning and asked why they didn't let me know they were not willing to provide the service. He said they were willing just couldn't het the parts in time. When I asked why they didn't look ahead and plan on performing the work scheduled he said they NEVER look ahead at online bookings. So if you are a busy person who can't call before their service center closes you should know they will treat you like they weren't expecting you to be there and even if you arrive early enough for them to order the parts necessary to perform your service you will be expecting to wait unnecessarily for the parts to be delivered. Looking back I wonder how much of my time they have waisted because they were afraid of being out the whole $5 an oil filter and drain plug washer would have cost them. Good to know that is how much an hour and a half of your time is worth. More
I was in service 12/12 after waiting 2 1/2 h I was told that I had no car there. Then that they lost my car. I had to walk the parking lot to find my own car. After I found my car I was told that didn’t ha that I had no car there. Then that they lost my car. I had to walk the parking lot to find my own car. After I found my car I was told that didn’t have my keys. When they found my keys they told me, here is your key and we did not do the required service, and walked away. This took an additional an additional hour and 15 minutes. No we are sorry can you come back tomorrow and we will complete the service. Then when I entered the car I found my emergency glass breaker missing. I was then told that I probably just miss placed it. It has been in my car for years and serviced at 3 dealers for the 5000 new car check up required my Toyota, and never taken. The service man who checked me in said when I came looking for my car that he did not check me in. They miss spelled my name on the ticket marked my car as an another brand. Three hours and forty five mins and not one we are sorry this happened. No matter how far I have to drive I will never set foot in this dealership again More
