The vehicle was expected to be delivered around the 20th of December. It didn’t arrive but was updated to the 27th, so we’re blocked off that day to pick it up and it didn’t arrive. Updated to any day. We were leaving for a week for Christmas break starting the 30th so I told him if it wasn’t in by the 29th we would just get it after Christmas. In the meantime, we sold the vehicle it was replacing, but since we were gone a fair amount around the holidays it was not a big deal. We got back from the holidays on January 6th and scheduled a pickup of the vehicle on the 7th. Unfortunately it still hadn’t arrived, although I started getting emails thanking me for the purchase of the vehicle starting January 2nd and activation notices, etc starting that day. The salesperson sent me a message,“Due to the heavy demands and disruptions brought about by the holiday season, I regret to inform you that there has been a slight delay in the vehicle's arrival. The anticipated delivery of your new vehicle is now scheduled between January 19 and January 24, 2024.” So apparently the holidays came up suddenly and it was quite a surprise for them, even though they seem to come the same days every year. I explained to the salesperson that we were without a second vehicle and he said he would arrange a loaner and asked when we’re could come to get it. I said we would be able to be there until about 5:00 and he said he would have everything ready. We’re got to the dealership about 4:50 and waited for him to finish with another customer, and then we went to his desk. He said he had the papers ready and it shouldn’t take too long. He started explaining about the things he needed to go over for the new vehicle before sending us to financing to pay for the vehicle. I was completely confused and he said he thought that was why were came down, and then we would get the loaner. I said we won’t pay for anything until it arrives, we see it and can drive it. So now it’s too late to get a car because they close at 5 and we “got there too late” (even though that’s when I said we would be there). So we’re made the trip for nothing. My wife and I had things planned for the morning, going different directions so he said he would get in early to get the loaner setup. January 9th, my wife was leaving at 8 and I had a 9:45 appointment which the salesperson was made aware of the night before. He was unable to get anything to bring to us so we would need to make another trip down there (30 minutes with no traffic) to get the car. My wife cancelled the rest of her activities for the morning and got back with the car for me to use, then after the appointment we went down to get the loaner. That process went ok this time and the loaner was very helpful. January 13th around 1PM, the salesperson called and said the vehicle arrived, he was getting it checked and sending it to detail. We asked him to let us know when it would be ready when he had a good idea. He sent a video around 2:30 with a walk-around of the vehicle. Were let him know we would be there around 3:30. He went through the items, we went to finance, we paid for and got the vehicle. Some points about this transaction: As stated, we point a deposit down on the vehicle and signed a contract. The contract stated the deposit was non-refundable, meaning if we didn’t get the vehicle we wouldn’t get the money back. If it was damaged or not acceptable for whatever reason, they thought they should just get to keep the deposit of $1000. That was unacceptable and the manager did end up changing it so it was not non-refundable but made us well aware he was not happy about it. Poor customer service. If you don’t want to change it, don’t. If you are going to, why xxxx off the customer and then end up doing it anyway. Out of space to write more. More
They care about their customers and Keith Sanders, the Assistant Service Manager was great about everything, the diagnosis, the time required and our comfort while waiting. He even arranged an Uber ride to IHOP for our lunch. We were there about 5 hours and felt like they treated us as family. We are from Wisconsin and he was a great Manager all around.
