I should not have had to wait 10 months for the second key fob. Also we had an appointment and was told it would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours to get the key fob programmed. Who is Christopher Tyron I would rate yellow Toyota service as outstanding in the salesforce as outstanding I would strongly suggest to anyone do not use southeast Toyota financing. My family & I have been taking ALL of our Toyota vehicles to this location for service the past 20 years. The old service dept before the renovation had a lot of staff members around & I was always greeted u to this location for service the past 20 years. The old service dept before the renovation had a lot of staff members around & I was always greeted upon initially pulling up into the service loop. I could easily call ahead to make sure they weren’t too backed up or full & could drive on up to get my truck or previous rav4 serviced, someone always greeted me immediately & helped me. On Sept.28th I called 7 times within an hour and 30 minute window to try to get help……I was placed on hold a few times, transferred from the receptionist to service to parts placed on hold had the calls dropped or no one came back after placing me on hold. I just wanted to call get a quote on how much it would cost to replace my true start Toyota battery I had purchased from the same Toyota service department previously. I had my old invoice & all of the info on hand. A few staff members were not able to locate the records even with the invoice numbers and told me it was strange they had no record of my previous visit/purchase. A different staff member told me they did not know the price of a new battery and/or labor & transferred me to the parts department. A service staff took all the info on my old invoice and quoted me $130 for a battery replacement and it cost around $155 when I came in. A different staff member told me Toyota service stopped taking walk ins at 4pm so they could not take me. I started driving towards Toyota Lakewood Ranch when someone from the parts dept actually called me back & apologized said he was busy and couldn’t come back to the call he had me on hold for a long time on. I made multiple attempts (7!) to get help via phone call and did not want to turn off my truck after leaving work because I was scared it might not start up again early the next morning for work and just wanted to ask for 1)look up my previous true start battery I purchased 2)quote me on the prorated price of a new battery 3) let me know if there was a walk in slot available at this time so that I could come buy a new battery. I drove to Lakewood Ranch by the time the parts staff member called me back & connected me with someone from service named Chris who said just head to Bradenton location now and we can help you! So I drove across town cutting it close to closing time for the service department. It was a little bit more stressful than it needed to be for something simple as a battery replacement. Upon driving up since it was close to closing time I walked in, no one greeted me for about 5 minutes (two staff members saw me walk in but neither one smiled or asked if I needed help or said they would go find someone to help me, they were just busy) I was unsure of where to go so I just stood there by some desks with my truck still running outside, finally a man came out of his office was nice smiled and said he would collect some info from my truck & have someone come help me. Steve was very helpful, he efficiently was able to pull up my prior records, calculate a prorated price, explained the differences between 84month vs lifetime battery warranty options, quickly got in touch with mechanic & parts dept to change out the battery. Visit was very prompt and efficient. Steve even took the time to explain to me what the numbers on the battery testing print out sheet means, a tire pressure sensor that needed to be replaced in one of my tires that was displaying a light on the dash, he also tried to help me with the driver seat door lock that I inquired about (my key cannot manually open the lock so I have to use my remote to unlock the truck). At a later date when it is not close to closing time for the service dept & I have a day off work I will schedule an apmt to come back to have other things serviced. All in all the service visit itself was very quick, informative, & efficient. The 7 calls before the visit were horrendous and not efficient & other customers probably would have have given up! More

Major improvement in service response and delivery. James was not immediately available when I got there, but they assigned another service person to take care of me. Although all I need it was a tire rotation and 100-point inspection, My vehicle was ready in less than an hour and ready to go. James was great in getting me quickly back on the road. More
