I spent $1400 replacing my AC compressor a little over a year ago and it went out again. Now the cost to fix it is $1000 more. I know there’s inflation and everything is more expensive, but I feel like I’m year ago and it went out again. Now the cost to fix it is $1000 more. I’ve been kicking myself because I’m not convinced it was repaired right to begin with. When the new part was first replaced, the AC would randomly stop blowing cold and we couldn’t figure out why. Just when I was going to make an appointment to have it checked, it started working and stopped giving me problems. I forgot about it. I shouldn’t have, there probably was something defective with the compressor, I mean how often do compressors only last a year? I’m convinced that something was not done properly in the first place and while it’s my fault for not following up, I won’t trust this dealership with another major repair. Not to mention the super expensive price, I’ve already gotten another quote for a compressor that’s $1000 less for parts and labor. Also, I tried to call several times and ask for the service department so I could make an appointment and nobody answered. I left voicemails and nobody returned my calls. I finally made an appt online and when I got there Chris Therrion told me that I couldn’t have my AC diagnosed because they weren’t open long enough that day. It was 430pm and they close at 6. How am I supposed to know how long it takes to diagnose an AC? I tried to call to speak to someone with no luck or return calls and I wrote exactly what I wanted to have done when I scheduled the appt online. Nobody contacted me even then to let me know. So I left my car overnight to find out the compressor was dead, then waited for half an hour when I went to pick it up. I live in Palmetto and my husband dropped me off and made it back home before anyone even talked to me. Chris finally went over the estimate with me, told me he found a compressor with a lifetime warranty and that he could give me a 20% discount. Of course the warranty only covers the cost of the compressor, if it breaks again I’d have to pay for the labor. With the 20% discount I’d still be paying more than I did last year. No thanks. I understand staffing shortages because I deal with that at my job as well. It’s affecting everyone, across a lot of industries. But poor customer service is poor customer service. Nobody returned my calls. Nobody answers the phone. And I’m convinced that the work is mediocre at best. I won’t have any work done there again. More

Very efficient and serious diagnoses well done, l prices now are elevated: quality VS quantity. I personally prefer QUALITY. Miss SABRINA MANNING deserves an increase in payroll. I got an oil change Monday. Seen a sign for 3 tires and the fourth was $1.00. They would not honor that advertisement stating it ended yesterday. My service writer Mathew was terrific. He explained things thoroughly and clearly for me to understand the diagnostics. Very polite young man and an asset to the Service Department. Gettel is the 5th Toyota service center I’ve used in the 7.5 years I’ve owned my Prius (Albuquerque NM; Richardson,TX, Plano, TX; Clearwater,FL and now Bradenton) and it was one of the VERY best service experiences I’ve experienced and one of the nicest waiting areas too. But I did miss the usual Toyota donuts. ( darn Covid)! Thanks Gettel. I’ll be back again. More
