I would just like to thank everyone at Gettel Nissan for an excellent buying experience. This was my first time buying a new car and it was nothing like the horror stories you hear. I was assured by the Gettel salesman Dennis Morrow that he could obtain a vehicle for me from a nearby dealership in Port Charlotte, Fl. I would pay a $200 transfer fee and the car would be delivered by the afternoon. I had a USAA price for the car which had everything my wife wanted and more. True, the folks as Gettel found the vehicle and true, the veicle was from another dealer (not a veicle in their stock.) In fact, up to this point, if all went well, I would be writing a superlative review. However, the new car manager at Gettel did not want to TRADE out a car in his inventory for the car I wanted and agreed to pay to TRANSFER. So, my wife and I worked out the entire deal with Dennis and even went into the finance office and worked out all the details of the sale, including agreeing to purchase an extended warranty from Fidelity at $1660.00. The finance fella was very kind and cordial (I'm sorry I don't remember your name.) But, I asked him what the difference was between the Fidelity warranty and the Assurant warranty offered by USAA. He assured me the Fidelity was superior in every way. Sorry, but that's not true at all. In fact, the Assurant warranty through USAA offers the same coverage at a cost of $761.00 for 72 months/100,000 miles with ZERO DEDUCTIBLE. The Fidelity policy was for 60 mo/100,000 miles and has a $100 deductible. So the term was even shorter! Many differences not disclosed, but then he is a SALESMAN! We were told our car was "On its way" and that we could not use our trade anymore. We wanted to fill our time by shopping as my wife would use her new car to go to Boca Raton the next day and needed some things. We were given a brand new 2011 Altima SL to ride around town in and shop. Its not the color my wife wanted and had a a lot of dealer added options like nitrogen filled tires. So , after killing several hours, my phone rang and the new car sales manager informed me the car would not be there today and probably wouldn't be there until the following week. Immediately we felt betrayed as Dennis assured us the deal would go off without a hitch and we would be on our way by 6 pm. Unfortunately, I was astonished as I learned the fact was the new car sales manager tried to make a deal in his favor and the Port Charlotte dealer didn't see things his way. So, he did not care to consider that my wife and I would be out of luck and very disappointed. I guess he didn't care that Dennis would look like a fool. I guess he didn't care I would be writing a review to warn other future customers. I guess he didn't imagine I would find the same car, cheaper, at Bill Ray Nissan. I guess he didn't check his math because they made a thousand dollar error in my paperwork, in my favor. I guess they didn't know I would find a cheaper rate (2.49 financing at Bill Ray Nissan in Longwood, Fl. All in all, we can't recommend this dealership based on our experience! More

The experience that was under control of the dealership was very pleasant and would definitely recommend Gettel and Calvin. More
I went in to this dealership after being at pervious ones looking to purchase and new or used SUV type vehicle. I have NEVER been to a dealership that I was not pressured or push toward a decision UNTIL I CAME TO GETTEL NISSAN. Dennis was wonderful in helping me understand the different makes, models, and vehicle ratings. Robert Mulroy was able to keep my payments SO CLOSE to what I was paying and got me a great deal. I couldn’t be happier with not only my purchase, but with their staff. AMAZING More

Took car in for 30,000 mile service - everyone was friendly and told me my car would be ready approximately around 12 noon. All repairs were made and they had a rental car for me to use while my car friendly and told me my car would be ready approximately around 12 noon. Prior to taking car in I was given a work sheet which gave me details of service that was recommened to be done on my car. We went over the work sheet and one item was deleted as it was previously done so didn't need to be done again. My car was clean and washed of which I absolutely love this service. In today's world not to many car dealerships do this anymore so I was very pleased. More

I choose to drive over 36 miles roundtrip for their friendly and knowledgeable service advisors, particularly Mr. Derek Thomas, rather than patronize another Nissan dealer just 3 miles from my home. Gettel has treated me right in both sales and service. In sales, they beat a competing dealer with their first offer when I had spent over two hours with another dealer who refused to negotiate in good faith. In service, Gettel has always had exceptional service advisors who go above and beyond the "norm" to insure satisfied customers. Specifically, Mr. Thomas has given me a coupon price for service or parts when I did not have the coupons with me. A former service advisor, Michelle Braden, addressed me by name when she had never met me before and made sure I was comfortable in the customer waiting lounge. For all the good sales and service experiences, there have been some "not so good" technician experiences (hence the "4" in Quality Of Work): lug nuts dropped on soft alloy wheels leaving dents; fuel filler door pushed in; grease left on the lower console; automatic climate control left on 90 degrees on a hot day; noticeable alignment change after a tire rotation. But through the years of patronage, the good out-weighs the "not so good" and I remain a loyal and devoted Gettel customer. More
I am a repeat customer of Gettel Nissan. I have leased two cars from them and I keep coming back for one reason, the service department. When you have a problem,, which may be a difficult one to diagnose two cars from them and I keep coming back for one reason, the service department. When you have a problem,, which may be a difficult one to diagnose they treat you with respect and understanding. They are very aware of the lack or the depth of their customer knowledge of auto repair. As a result your experience in the service department is a positive one with minimal stress and anxiety. They work with you and try to be very flexible as to your personal work schedule resulting in being able to work the service appointment into your schedule rather than their schedule. I have found that all of the associates are very helpful and knowledgeable. It just isn't one associate that has a service minded mentality but all of them. So you really do not have to worry about who you may be talking with or explaining a problem. They are all equally pleasant to work with including the service manager, Charlie. Charlie and his associates have been taking very good care of me for over 5 years and I intend to continue purchasing Nissan products and having the service department at Gettel Nissan be there for my support. I would recommend the service department to anyone. When you buy a new car you want it to be a very positive experience. That experience goes far beyond the sale; it is what happens after the sale that really matters. That's why the service department is so important. The service department is the one aspect of the dealership that keeps the customers coming back. That is why I keep coming back to Gettel Nissan. More
