I've had 2 very poor experiences at this dealership over the span of 3 years - both times showing up voluntarily and out of the way from a local dealer. I leased a vehicle in 2007 - the experience was the span of 3 years - both times showing up voluntarily and out of the way from a local dealer. I leased a vehicle in 2007 - the experience was pleasant until the finance manager called 2 days after we signed/closed. I was told we missed a document and they needed me back onsite to finish up (~45 minute commute each way). When I showed up, they bait & switched the lease contract asking me to void the original and sign a new contract because they miscalculated the profit margin on our first deal. I objected and they relinquished. I made the mistake of going back this past weekend. I thought I struck a deal for a used vehicle until Sid Carver got involved. This smarmy sales manager was brought in to negotiate price - he promptly blew the deal in less than 3 minutes. First he lectured me about how a customer with bad credit put down $7K and still wasn't able to obtain financing - this was his response to my stating of 750+ credit score. Then Sid lectured me about their incentive offers (trade assist, finance assist) having fine print which allows them to renege and rescind on the True Car price commitment. Fair enough. I walked out, immediately drove north ~15 miles to the other Nissan dealer and cut a painless deal in less than 2 hours. More

Didn't tell me this, but sold me an NV2500 van slated for transfer to a authorized Commercial dealer. They did not disclose the Nissan shelving incentive that Nissan offers free of charge to Gettel. I receiving knowledge of this incentive from a shelving company I asked about a shelving outfit. Many phone calls to different dealers. I found out all the info on the Nissan incentive. All the dealers have to do is fill some paperwork. Gettel said they couldn't, the salesman first gave me a BS story I didn't bring up shelves during the deal. You know its getting thicker and thicker as I discuss this with them. Days Later offering me $200.00 on a $3000.00 package. The same package they offered customers before they lost their authorization to sell the van or warranty service it. Gettel refused to get me my full incentive. I have bought 7 new Nissan titan Trucks a 370z and now an NV2500 this has left such bad taste More
Our buying experience at the Gettel Nissan on Bee Ridge in Sarasota was excellent. The salesperson, Pete Maron, was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. The finance staff were great as well.
