I would love to be able to say that today I was able to successfully buy my second Hyundai from Gettel in Sarasota but I cannot. The website as of today is showing 4 new 2023 Santa Fe's with Dealer Discou successfully buy my second Hyundai from Gettel in Sarasota but I cannot. The website as of today is showing 4 new 2023 Santa Fe's with Dealer Discounts of $3995 plus a $2000 HCF discount. After several emails and telephone conversation with sales when I was about to advise I would purchase the vehicle they recommended I was told it had just been pulled for their loaner program along with the other 3 Dealer Discounted Santa Fe's. Total deception, stay away. More

1) Disorganized, awkward experience when picking up car 2) Car was supposed to be title/licensed in WI with documents being sent to our Florida address 3) 30 days later we find Florida plates wer car 2) Car was supposed to be title/licensed in WI with documents being sent to our Florida address 3) 30 days later we find Florida plates were sent to our WI address; so our car still isn’t licensed & titled in the correct state 4) initially we wanted to pick car up in January after our family left after Christmas; we were told that we had to pick up car the day it arrived on the lot - Dec 26. We had insurance started on the 26th with the Vin number given to us 5). On the 26th, we were informed that the initial car didn’t arrive but that they drove a similar vehicle from Punta Gorda to Sarasota for us to pick up. Vin number was different. 6). We were told they would have us in and out in 1 hour to pick up vehicle; it was over 2 hours and our family was waiting for us to get home as we were first celebrating Christmas on the 26th which is why we asked to pick up the car in January. Our daughter lives in San Francisco, our son in WI and the last time we were all together was years ago! 7) No one told us what documents we would need to close the deal, including proof of insurance and DD214 for Veteran’s discount. When we didn’t have that readily available (we had insurance, just not an up to date card with us), we were told we could come back the next day to pick up our new vehicle or they would drive it back to us the next day. 8) they had already put 80 miles on our new vehicle and then wanted to add on even more driving it back to North Port, close to where it came from to start with. 9) When we arrived I mentioned that my vehicle didn’t have a red bow on it (it was Christmas, after all) and was told “you haven’t left yet”- cars in the lot had big red bows but when we came out to drive home - no bow on my car! 😢 10) The Gettel Advantage paperwork mentioned something about new car care products but we didn’t receive any. Was that an oversight? We have been buying new vehicles for nearly 50 years. Cash! This is unquestionably the worst buying experience we’ve EVER had. What do these people really do go a living?
