I bought a Genesis G70r from this dealership in the summer when I was visiting my son who lives in Sarasota. I only got 1 key fab at the time of purchase and I was told the other key fab was lost but summer when I was visiting my son who lives in Sarasota. I only got 1 key fab at the time of purchase and I was told the other key fab was lost but that I would be mailed another one as soon as they got one in stock. I was told that I can get the key fab reprogrammed at my local Genesis dealership at no cost. I received the key fab a few weeks afterwards and I took the key fab to my local dealership to get it programmed. I was charged over $200 to get the key fab programmed. The local Genesis dealership told me that I should call Gettel to get reimbursed since each car comes with 2 key fabs as standard. My wife and I called Gettel Hyundai several times and left messages explaining the problem. We have yet to get a call back. More
After calling about an advertised car I had to repeatedly ask what the out the door price was when offering msrp. Kevin kept manipulating the conversation not disclosing the additional fees. Gettel Hyundai epitomizes the negative stereotype of car dealers being deceptive with false advertising. They listed a 2014 Honda CR-V for $12,997 and then when I went to purchase the car, they added on a dealers being deceptive with false advertising. They listed a 2014 Honda CR-V for $12,997 and then when I went to purchase the car, they added on a $1,000 fee because I wanted to pay cash and another $1,000 mark-up because I didn't have a trade in, then a $1,500 dealer prep fee and a separate $1,000 administrative fee. So the car that was advertised for $13K actually costs $17,500. Add on Taxes, Title, and Registration and they expected me to pay $19,292 for a car advertised at $12,997. That's a 33% increase! Buyer beware! More

For context, we have purchased or leased five Hyundai vehicles in the past ten years - four of them from Gettel - but that will never happen again. Our 2019 Santa Fe Ultimate is coming off lease shortly, and we were considering a Palisade Calligraphy or a top of the line Santa Fe Hybrid. Took a Gettel Palisade home two weeks ago on a Saturday (5 miles each way) so my wife could drive it without a salesman hovering (no problem at all). However, their Santa Fe Hybrid was out on an appointment, so I called a couple of days later to schedule an appointment to drive it (to compare/contrast them). Nobody called back. Sent an email to the salesman, David. No response. Yesterday I called the internet department and Amanda scheduled an appointment for 3pm today (Wednesday). I took the day off from work, figuring there wouldn't be a crush of people mid-week (the dealership was empty when I got there). Sales rep Simas had the car ready to go at 3, but said he had to go with me. That wasn't the plan, so he went to talk to Amanda. 10 minutes later some "Sales Manager" came in and said they had to keep the car nearby "for appointments". I told him I HAD an appointment, and asked what had changed from 2 weeks ago when I took a more expensive SUV home on a Saturday afternoon. He put his hands behind his head, sat back like every shady used car dealer you've ever met, and said "Well, things change daily." He was as smug and condescending as one could be. I told him he'd lost our business, and I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH GETTEL AGAIN, AND WILL BADMOUTH THEM AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN. FYI, be aware that Gettel is marking up their vehicles with a ton of nonsense "add-ons", "market adjustments", and the highest dealer fee around. Do yourself a favor - test drive their cars, burn their gas, waste their time, figure out the car/SUV you like, then take a short drive up to one of the Tampa Hyundai dealers. You'll get a much better deal. This was a horrible experience. More
I was there for a recall from hyundai. When I notified my battery just died two the day before, so I needed a new battery too. I came back, I was told the battery "only needed a charge and was then tested and was all good" . The next day, I was i had to call a tow truck after I got out if the grocery. Also, nobody checked my windshield sprinklers . And the carbcertainly had not received any form of carwash. I see the ratings are already pretty low on the Gettel Dialer at 3500 Beeridgee, sarasota.
