My Experiences With The Service Department I have brought my 2015 Elantra in for the same repair at least twice already, nothing was found. Periodically, when I step on the gas from a standing I have brought my 2015 Elantra in for the same repair at least twice already, nothing was found. Periodically, when I step on the gas from a standing stop, the car does not go. This has been a dangerous situation at times, especially when I need to cross a divided road in a hurry. I am told the computer in the car has not registered any faults. Reality is my judge, it happens too often, but not consistently, regardless of what the computer is registering. I need to bring the car back to give them another try. Perhaps it will fail for the technician, who knows. I do understand that intermittent problems are difficult to find. Finding that the car does respond to the gas peddle at a critical time, can be devastating. For my prior Hyundai, the dealership attempted to install a different tire (under warranty) on the same axle. When I objected, they told me this was they had in stock. I let them know that I wanted the exact same tire on both sides of the axle, and would not accept anything but that. They discussed the matter, and ordered the "right" tire for me. I was not happy the way the service department attempted to mismatch tires. On another service appointment, the car was brought in for front brakes. When I picked up the car, I noted that the parking brake had not been adjusted. When I mentioned that, I was told, that was an additional service and I would be charged accordingly. Heck, over the years, at other stations, the parking brake was always adjusted at no additional cost. Not a big deal, but it did seem like an easy way for the dealership to meet my expectations for a related service. As my Hyundai cars are relatively new, I have not had any need to bring my cars in for service, other than routine oil changes, and the above mentioned matters. For routine oil changes, all has been fine. They provide a comprehensive safety inspection and note any deficiencies along with prices to remedy any faults that were found. The waiting room provides a comfortable place to wait during the service appointment. More

They also allowed me to rent a car for a few hours instead of having to wait the entire time there, which was a really nice accommodation most dealerships and auto service shops do not offer. More
