Last Friday my wife and I traded our 2013 Hyundai Elantra for a 2016 Hyundai Sonata Sport with the help of Kyle Calhoun and David Guillaury. Recent Purchase Experience with Gettel Hyundai I leased a 2016 Hyundai Tucson from Gettel Hyundai. I enjoyed working with the salesperson, Ray Patrice, as he was both personable and helpful in the I leased a 2016 Hyundai Tucson from Gettel Hyundai. I enjoyed working with the salesperson, Ray Patrice, as he was both personable and helpful in the process. Although I had only intended to check out a sale flyer I received from Gettel, I did end up leasing a new vehicle. Although I will go back here at the end of the lease, I will go in more prepared, with a better understanding of the value of my trade, and the cost of the new vehicle. Like I said, I enjoyed working with Ray, but once he got the information about what I was interested in, he took my keys to the appraiser, to determine the value of my trade. A member of the office staff came back with a proposed deal, which in my mind was totally outrageous (and I probably should have walked out then and there), They were basing the deal on MSRP, plus almost $2300 of dealer installed items. When I said I would never pay MSRP for a car and said the one I was trading in was purchased through Truecar. He then went to the Truecar site which gave a price for the car I was looking at. He said the car they had shown me must have more options on it than the one on the Truecar site. This was a questionable statement since he went to his office and came back 10 minutes later with a second offer that was between 5 and 6 thousand dollars less than the first offer, for the same car that I had been shown. Because this was a more acceptable offer and I decided to lease the car. I am happy with the deal and the car I ended up getting. More
