First, Gettel advertises a price and then immediately adds $2900 for Gettel advantage. This is just a way to get more money. Most buyers will never realize close to the $2900 penalty. I was trading a 2018 Chev Malibu. When the manager gave me a price it was low and the reason given was that they noticed some slight feathering on the front tires and it would need two new tires and alignment at a cost of $1500. I could not see the bad wear on this 18,000 mile car. Gettels 4 wheel alignment cost about $260 and two tires would be approx. $300 (max $700 total , not $1500). this was the first time I got up to walk. How stupid did they think I was. Then they told me that they had another buyer on the phone and he was ready to fly in to get the car if I didn't buy it. That was the second time we got up to walk out. Next, after agreeing to buy the car ( it is really a great vehicle and I had to ignore the negatives at Getel). I went home and happened to check NHTSA.com and discovered an active recall on the vehicle. I called the dealer and told them I would not take delivery until the recall was fixed. They fixed it in two days. When I did get the vehicle home, I discovered that none of the "Advantage" items had been completed. I called the dealership and asked to have the $2900 credited and they refused, telling me to bring the vehicle back. I returned with the vehicle and waited almost 3 hours for the work to be done. I will NEVER buy a vehicle from any Gettel dealer as a result of this experience. More
