I brought my VW beetle in for service and told them to pay attention to its cleanliness. I received my VW convertible back with a discolored drivers seat. They must has spilled oil on it and tried to cl pay attention to its cleanliness. I received my VW convertible back with a discolored drivers seat. They must has spilled oil on it and tried to clean it with a degreasing agent. Upsets me every time a look at it. The service rep told me that they cover the steering wheel and seat prior to service. Yet, as I watched this person with dirty and greasy clothes climb into my vehicle, that was not the case. After looking at the service bay, (dirty and congested) I told the service rep to cancel my service, but she said they have already started working on it. Even today, as I look at my previous pristine condition 2009 VW Convertible Beetle, (Purchased at Gervais VW), I am very upset at the damage done and their denying any thing like that happened. More

I would have given them zero stars if possible. #1 I first contacted the dealership 2 days after a car arrived on the lot asking for photos and more details about the car. I continued to contact the dealership at least twice a week for updates. The pictures were never sent to me and I never received any updates. It took roughly a month to finally see photos of the car and it was only because I was consistent in checking their website. #2 I drove 3 hours to look at the car and was only greeted with the usual dealership lies such as “the car is priced so low we cannot negotiate the price” and “we can run the numbers for you, but the deal is only good for today”. Both are just usual lines from the dealership to make a buyer anxious to put money down and commit to a car they can’t afford. After all of the trouble I went through, they were still not willing to move off of the price (not even a dollar). I wasn’t greeted by anyone besides the floor salesman (who was the only pleasant part of my experience) and only met the sales manager once I had the check in my hand. #3 I was looking for a very specific model car and ended up purchasing the car anyway. I came from out of state, so I needed to get the paperwork situated and was trying to work with the dealership, so I could register the car out of state before picking it up. I wanted to drive the car back legally instead of towing it back. They would not work with me or send me any documentation, so I could accomplish what I was aiming to do. I asked for the manufacturer’s statement of origin, so they could still keep the title in their name and I could still get the car registered to drive legally. They stated, “the manufacturer’s statement of origin was the same as the vehicle title”, which is a complete lie. #4 I stated I could come back Friday around closing time, but I was told none of the notaries could stay late so I had to wait another day to complete the sale. I stated I would come back Saturday morning and asked that all of the paperwork be ready, the car cleaned, and with a full tank of gas so I could get back on the road as soon as possible. When I arrived, the car was being “recleaned”. It wasn't cleaned very well because there was still sticker residue all over the windshield from previous stickers / documents. The documents were mostly completed, but the notaries weren’t present to notarize my signature. They notarized someone else’s signature at the dealership, which could have easily been completed the day prior. They said they couldn’t even fill it up with gas because it was already filled up when they took the car in off of a trade. These were all further lies from the manager. I didn’t meet the sales manager until I had a check in my hand, even though I put money down and committed to purchasing the car the first time I was at the dealership. Just another sign that this dealership doesn’t care about customers or to work with customers, you are just a source of income to them and that is it. #5 I asked for an inspection of the car prior to purchase and for the inspection documents during the final purchase meeting, but I did not receive the paperwork. Soon after buying the car, I noticed that the passenger side fog light the tab is broken making the fog light loose. They did not disclose this information or fix it prior to purchase. While the car was in transit, the antenna cover came flying off on the highway (not even a hour after buying it). I contacted the dealership and since these parts are “not detrimental to safety” and “not a component of the drive train”, they are not covered. Now I have to put another $400 into a barely used car I just purchased. I am just trying to help the next person avoid this headache. I would never recommend this dealership unless you are very particular about the car you are buying and cannot find it anywhere else. More

2018 VW Passat GT I really enjoyed my new Passat purchase at Gervais VW in Lowell. When I initally walked in, I was only going to test drive the vehicle as I was consid I really enjoyed my new Passat purchase at Gervais VW in Lowell. When I initally walked in, I was only going to test drive the vehicle as I was considering others. The GM had no sales folks available for me to sit and test drive with, but went out of his way to find one. After test driving the very European looking Passat GT and with the aggressive pricing it had (end of year close out), I made my decision then to purchase. Will, the sales tech who took me out couldn't have been nicer and more attentive to my needs and explained what I needed to know when I had questions. And Kee the finance manager was very pleasant and patient, and worked with me to finailize some tricky financing things that had timing issues. I felt no pressure to buy at anytime and would recommend Gervais VW/Kia anytime. More
