NOT HAPPY. Took car in for an oil change and fuel filter change, get my AC recharged and have the cabin air filter changed and see what the "rattling noise" was with the fan...general check up. Went to work on a wednesday morning, used shuttle service. That afternoon, was informed by dealer that "rear brakes are shot and must be completely replaced"....at a cost of $2700. Told me that even if rotors and calipers are not "ruined", they must be replaced by "VW policy", only with VW parts. The parts were not available and had to be ordered, but car was unsafe to drive. Was told they didn't have any loaner cars and I would be without a car till the parts were in on monday. Eventually, dealership found a "loaner car", but it is now tuesday late afternoon 9-24-2013. Not a word yet on when my car will be done. Was told it would be done on monday. I was unfairly gouged on price, kept in the dark on completion, lied to about some xx replacement policy. I am really dissapointed in the unfair, greedy, unethical treatment I got. My future business will not be with this dealer. Love the fuel economy of the diesel jetta, BUT your people in this dealership SUCK. ...and the $2700 did NOT include front brakes, nor did it even fix the original problems I took the car in for! To add insult to injury.....they lost my plastic center hub caps and I had to purchase new ones for $30+ each.... They don't read written instructions that were reviewed in person at the dealer....VERY unhappy. I took this to VW corporate, where it was assigned to a "Region Case Manager".....for an "investigation"....lip service, thats all it was.....a chance for their drinking buddies to get together. Now.....my fan has stopped working and it is ZERO outside. The same fan that I asked them to fix, back in September......I can't believe that my car with 55K miles and is 2 years and 8 months old, is falling apart like this. I will not buy another VW nor will I do business with HATFIELD autogroup again. I now understand why VW has not increased their sales in the months of the "recovery"....crappy product and worse service. More

I had a great experience purchasing a 2014 GTI from Hatfield recently. They had a great selection and their staff from top to bottom was outstanding. My salesman was Brad Kamphaus and he did a great Hatfield recently. They had a great selection and their staff from top to bottom was outstanding. My salesman was Brad Kamphaus and he did a great job in describing every aspect of this deal, along with answering any and all questions that I had. Nick Poppel was another gentleman who was there to answer many of my questions, especially anything regarding the service and maintenance the car would need. I appreciated their patience and knowledge throughout the entire process and would recommend anyone who is interested in a Volkswagon to purchase from Hatfield. More

Received requested appointment date and time. Problem was diagnosed promptly (bad wheel bearing) and service was performed in about 2.5 hours total including the diagnosis, a front-end alignment, a test driv diagnosed promptly (bad wheel bearing) and service was performed in about 2.5 hours total including the diagnosis, a front-end alignment, a test drive, and a car wash. Received a 10% discount on the wheel bearing work, and the front end alignment was done for only an additional $9.95. I have been having this dealership service my 2002 Golf TDI for more than 11 years and 155,000 miles -- all with no complaints. More
the service manager was eating lunch when I arrived. I told him i would come back after he had eaten. He insisted I bring my car in and he would take care of it. I felt kind of bad interrupting his lunch, but he said he was glad I was there and "the customer always comes first". He got everything taken care of in a short time and even washed my car. This is the first time I had service done to my new Volkswagon and I am truly impressed with these people. Would I recommend this dealership? Of course and highly. I have been a Volkswagen fan for years. When I moved to Columbus and found Hatfield Volkswagen I have never gone anywhere else! I was having trouble with my new Routan and called the service department wit Columbus and found Hatfield Volkswagen I have never gone anywhere else! I was having trouble with my new Routan and called the service department with some questions. They were very helpful and due to the issues I was describing they suggested bringing the van in. I was informed that my van was still under warranty and it would not cost anything to bring it in. I made my appointment on-line (my first time doing that and it was very easy) Ben called me to confirm my appointment and was my contact person throughout my entire experience. Turns out I needed some extensive work that required parts to be ordered. Ben explained all the work that was going to be done, that it was all covered under warranty and then gave me a loaner car so I could be on my way. It took an entire week to fix the van but Ben called every step of the way to keep me updated. The loaner car was wonderful! I wasn't inconvenienced at all! What could have been a trying time was made stress free! When I came to pick the van up my kids were sad to see the "New Car" go but excited to be able to watch movies again in the van. When I dropped off the keys they had all the paperwork ready to go. I signed got my van keys and the kids even got a lolliepop! I would recommend Hatfield Volkswagen for any service needs! If you do go ask for Ben! He is the best! More
