Terrible experience. I'll never go back. Just bought a used 4Runner and was looking for a dealer to service. Took it in for the airbag recall. Scheduling and service was as expected, until I Just bought a used 4Runner and was looking for a dealer to service. Took it in for the airbag recall. Scheduling and service was as expected, until I picked up my vehicle. The technician left my truck filthy. There were dark grimy smudges all over the dash and front window, as well as dirt ground into both driver and passenger entries. I had to scrub multiple times to get everything clean. Then come the barrage of emails wanting a review and to set up more appointments. I completed the review honestly and explained how dissatisfied I was with the service. I was immediately contacted by the Service Manager, Billy Blanton via phone call. He did apologize and asked me to call him to discuss. I returned the call an hour later and never heard back from him again. Very disappointing experience all the way around. More
One blunder after another Had my vehicle two days instead of one because they couldn’t get part on day one after calling two phone numbers other than the one I gave them when s Had my vehicle two days instead of one because they couldn’t get part on day one after calling two phone numbers other than the one I gave them when scheduling ( It was in the confirmation email for the appointment and on the invoice.), which added hours before the part could be ordered. The invoice stated the courtesy inspection was done, but no paperwork attached to the invoice for it as I drove off the lot with a brake light out. Went back two days later for the in-warranty brake light replacement (replaced only four months earlier) and the inspection, with the understanding I would be in and out in a half hour because I needed to get to work. I was done an hour and 20 minutes later and now running late for work. Two days later, my husband is checking out the vehicle before I go out of town and finds zero coolant. The inspection paperwork was consulted and a phone call made, because the coolant was marked with a Caution. It was explained to Hubble that it wasn’t urgent yet. That would have been fair had there actually been any coolant in the vehicle! In addition, it was found while engine was dismantled that an additional part was needed because there was a sensor in it that was never and could never be plugged in, because it was the wrong part for my vehicle! Thankfully, I was not charged for that replacement. I am a long-time customer...like 20+ years. I remember when these kinds of blunders never happened. I also remember when a part delay meant I was loaned a car free of charge. This actually cost me a day of work, as a two-day rental would have been cost-prohibitive for me. Lastly, I called on my way home the day of the brake repair/inspection to ask someone who manages overt and above the service department to call me. I was assured I would get a call that day. I got a voicemail the next morning, not the same day. Bottom line: I am apparently not important to Germain Toyota. I think my next vehicle, which I’ll in the next six months will probably be a competitor. More
