I scheduled an appointment for a recall on my car. And they told me they couldn’t do it on a Saturday and they told me that it couldn’t be after 2 o’clock through the week. I go in there they take my car, one hour and 15 minutes later They come out and tell me that they will order my part and call me to get scheduled. Excuse me, I had to schedule off work for this appointment. You knew exactly why I was coming in. You knew exactly what type of vehicle I had. Why did you not have the part? And you want me to schedule to come back and miss work again? The service manager told me to call consumer affairs with Kia. With my complaint. Because it was out of his hands how they handle things. I called consumer affairs and spent 45 minutes on the phone, they told me that each dealership is franchised and they follow their own rules. So neither place could offer me any service. They could only blame each other and that I needed to take it up with the other. More
Huge shout out to the Germain kia family. Just bought a brand new vehicle. It was a group effort, but everyone bent over backwards to make sure I went home happy. I had to come back in and put a tow hitch on and the service department was even great. I even had a sales person from Germain toyota help us out. The Germain family should be very proud of these associates Ken Gurung, Skylar Smith, Ricardo Gomaz, and Brian Franks. Attentive, listened to what I wanted and didn’t push anything. My options came down to a new car and a slightly used car. I went with the used. I made an appointment per a flyer sent from Kia for a service update. After calling Germain Kia and having them scheduled the appt, I got down there today and they were incredibly rude. First I have had service update. After calling Germain Kia and having them scheduled the appt, I got down there today and they were incredibly rude. First I have had service done on my kia there for a number of years. In checking in, he printed out the service record and said it was done in 2020. I asked why they made the appt, and told me in was needed? I was then told "it was not his problem, and to call Kia Customer service." Not his problem? Is this how they treat a woman coming in for service on their car? Todd was so very nice to my husband when he called afterwards, but to me? The service dept was rude. This is the second time something like this has happened. When I had a software update on GPS system, I made an appt, got down there and was told I needed to come back as the person who had the flash drive was on a cruise and took it with him. So as an older woman going here, beware you will be treated poorly. More
