This is the seventh vehicle I've bought myself plus I have helped three friends buy vehicles in the past. All told I've had ten car buying experiences and my experience with John "Schmitty" Schmittauer at Germain Honda of Dublin was head & shoulders above any other car buying experience I've ever experienced. I do a lot of research on the front-end of purchasing a vehicle, come equipped with a very specific list of criteria (i.e. CPO when buying a used car, make, model, color, acceptable mileage, features, price range, "must haves vs might wants", etc), I don't like to feel like I'm being sold, I don't like being shown things that are not on my list...I prefer no B.S., for salesmen just to be straight with me and sell me the vehicle I want at a fair price...to not play the "I have to talk to my sales manager" game and to not try to play games with me down the home stretch when it is time to go talk to the finance manager. I am happy to say that Schmitty was completely straight up with me from start to finish. He never pulled any shady maneuvers and then on the back-end instead of pulling a last minute back-handed maneuver he pulled a "Good Samaritan" maneuver. Knowing we were going to be on a tight schedule the next day (when we were scheduled to be leaving town) he worked it out internally to get us our vehicle the same day and threw in floor mats and a tray for the trunk for multi-level groceries. I honestly cannot say enough good things about my experience with him. More

We reached a verbal agreement for a certified Honda Accord and were supposed to pick it up this Saturday. We received a voicemail from Diane stating the certified car was "not available for sale&q Accord and were supposed to pick it up this Saturday. We received a voicemail from Diane stating the certified car was "not available for sale" because it needed "a lot of bodywork". After unsuccessfully attempting to reach Diane and the sales manager by phone the same evening we tried again the following morning. After leaving messages for Diane we spoke to the Sales Manager who stated that the car needed to be taken to the body shop to remove "some scuffs" on the body and that no extensive body work was required. Several more messages were left for Diane who never responded to any of our concerns. We could have easily postponed the pick up of the vehicle if required in order to ensure that it was ready. We are extremely disappointed, not only because of the loss of a vehicle we wanted and had negotiated a fair price for, we also stopped negotiating with 3 other dealerships when we thought we had made a deal. To have the deal fall through so abruptly, with such a poor explanation, and THEN not to receive a call back after calling repeatedly is inexcusable. My partner and i routinely purchase vehicles online and have never been treated in this fashion. Rest assured that we will never do business with this dealership again and will go out of our way to spread the word about our experience to all of our friends. Thanks for nothing Germain Honda. I had a bad experience at Germain Honda, I was informed that the person that I dealt with was no longer with the dealership. The financial manager worked with me to make it right. Poor customer service. I was looking to buy a used car for my daughter. I chatted via IM with Brittany at the dealership at 1 pm. She took my name and number and verified that the car I was interested in for my daughter. I chatted via IM with Brittany at the dealership at 1 pm. She took my name and number and verified that the car I was interested in was available. We then set up an appointment for 4:30 that same day with Eric Taylor. She said he would pull the car around and meet me. I left the office early in order to meet Mr. Taylor at 4:30. When I got there he told me that they had just sold the car an hour before. I felt that at worst, the dealership should have called me and told me that the car had sold prior to me leaving the office. If they would have said that the car was in high demand, I would have made an effort to get there and would have been there by 1:30. I had dealt withe Germain Lexus dealership in Dublin and had an outstanding experience. Unfortunately, it appears that there is not the same level of service at the Honda dealership in Dublin More

I had been looking for the vehicle I wanted for approximately 9 months. I had pretty specific requirements with pricing and the model year/color/options I wanted. I visited and spoke with several dealerships throughout this time. Germain Honda was one of the dealerships I had been in contact with. I talked with a sales person at Germain several months ago, but the right car was not available at that time. I was put in touch with a different sales person, Josh Wiswell, and I was extremely pleased with the outcome. First of all, I really enjoyed working with Josh immediately. He did not have that phoney "car salesman" approach that many car sales people have. He listened and understood what I was looking for. There were two cars at Germain that were possibilities. I also had a trade in vehicle that I needed to get a certain price for. I told Josh exactly what I wanted for my trade and the price I was willing to pay for the vehicle, and he made it all happen! I am now driving the exact car I had in mind and I couldn't be happier! Even after the sale, Josh has been very responsive to any questions or concerns I have had. This experience has been great and I highly recommend anyone looking for a high quality used car, with a great sales experience along with it, to give Josh Wiswell at Germain Honda a call! More
Sam and the other sales staff were a pleasure to work with! I've been going to this dealership for about 10 years (since before it changed from Immke to Germain) and always been pleased. The gently used Odyssey Sam sold us is great and replaced the 10 year Odyssey that we hated to part with. This is the second time we've purchased a used vehicle from this dealer and I always recommend them to friends and family. When the dealership changed hands I was worried that the service experience wouldn't be the same. Thankfully the new owners kept the same great staff and service levels. While I don't expect to have to see the service folks too often due to the reliability of Hondas, I will be glad to see the familiar faces when I do go in for service. More
I visited this dealership on Friday, April 6th. I tested a new Honda Oddyssey and worked with a sales representative who isn't listed on Germain's website and I cannot remember his name. I liked the Oddyssey and asked the sales representative to give me a quote on a lease. The sales rep knew a lot about the Oddyssey and was very cordial. He told me that he would check with the Finance person on duty and said he would be back within a few minutes. After approximately 15 minutes, the sales rep returned with the Finance person who introduced himself and then left us with the sales rep. I expected the sales rep to have the numbers we were looking for, but he didn't. I asked him to go back to the finance rep and get a lease quote on a Honda Oddyssey EX-L, 12k per year, 36 months. The sales rep went to speak with the finance rep and returned without numbers again. It seems to me that the sales rep was new and the finance rep was the one who was not giving him the numbers. I lease a new car every 3 years and am fairly knowledgeable with the process. I expected a quote from Germain Honda, but left there frustrated and without any quote at all. I have purchased a car from this location in the past when it was under Immke Honda and had a pleasurable experience. However, under Germain, I will not visit this location again and will share my experience with all my friends and family. More
