Overall, I had a great experience leasing from John Grimm at Germain Honda. He was friendly, patient with questions, and went through various options with me. I bought a brand new 2014 Honda Odessey the transaction was smooth, the sales rep was awesome and knew what he was doing.Within couple of days of purchase i noticed buttons that controls the music system was smooth, the sales rep was awesome and knew what he was doing.Within couple of days of purchase i noticed buttons that controls the music system was not working. I was not able to change time, select different FM radio statiion e.t.c.The van had manufacturing defect on it. I called my sales rep and he inspected the vehicle. He found out the settings button came pressed factory installed and would not unpress from its postion. since it was stuck it caused some of the other buttons not to work. Anyways most importantly, my sales rep assured me it will get fixed. He stated they would order parts from Honda and get it replaced. I was not happy since i had to wait at lest 2 to 3 weeks or may be more for the parts to arrive and get it fixed/replaced. Explained the rep I bought a brand new vehicle and expect the vehicle to work without any manufacturing defects. I was not happy about the sitaution at all. The management jumped in and took full responsibility of the issue. Replaced the vehicle with another brand new working vehicle. My current vehicle is working fine and i am happy with it. I want to applaud Management of Germain Honda for taking ownership of the issue , listening to the voice of the customer and setting up right business practice. I will recommend Germain honda to my friends and family members because i know if there is something wrong they will fix it and won't give run around. More
Salesman, Norm Lerman, was great to work with. He found us just what we wanted and we bought the first car we looked at, would you believe. Finance group got a pretty good rate, but pushed a lot of service us just what we wanted and we bought the first car we looked at, would you believe. We recently bought a van from Germain Honda in Dublin. He made us feel home he was able to offer us a very fair price, and when we told him we were buying it ,he made sure we were completely satisfied.we left feeling like we got a good deal and a great van. I'm from Chicago and came to Dublin recently. The second day of my life at Dublin I went to buy a Honda Civic 2013 for my new job. While I was at Chicago, I went to several dealers and as you may know most of them just want to screw the customers and take their money as much as they can. So I decided to show a bird to all the Chicago area dealers like Brian Bemis. They have to go and pack sands. So I decided to come to Dublin and get a car here. I was lucky that John was my Consultant. I gave him hard times. He was one of the fewest consultants that I kinda felt that I can relay on. He was very nice, very friendly and he was professional. He was easy to deal with and was familiar with this whole process from A to Z. He was kinda playing the game very well. Although I was difficult to deal with, he was cool and he did not want neither the dealership nor me (the customer) loose money. A very unique attitude with a dealer that I had never seen before. Somebody told me that a good dealer is a dead dealer but when I was consulting with John I did not feel like that. I would come back to him to buy a better car in near future and I strongly recommend him as a consultant. He did his job very well and I'm totally satisfied with him. More

My husband and I were greeted by Norman Lerman when we entered Germain and he is why we bought the 2008 Honda CRV from you. He is knowledgeable and friendly with a wonderful sense of humor. Norman showed us several cars and had a list of comparisons to help us decide on just the right vehicle. We had drove similar cars at Roush, Honda Marysville, Lindsay, and Hugh White Honda dealerships but in the end it was Norman who persuaded us to buy from Germain. I was feeling so very stressed from worry about my Honda Accord as well as many other problems I've been having this year, three major operations, a student on campus who crashed into me and caused me endle Accord as well as many other problems I've been having this year, three major operations, a student on campus who crashed into me and caused me endless troubles, time, money and energy I didn't have (I was on my way to the hospital when she hit me from behind!) I was also very anxious about my transmission - I had just taken to Cottman's to have the transmission fluid changed but when I got there the owner told me after just turning on my car, that it "had a hole in the transmission area" and that I could NOT drive it back home or get a second opinion or it would break down and be totally ruined for repair. He ended up charging me almost $5400. for "a new transmission and new parts of various sorts." I drove it home after he had kept it for 3 weeks or so to do this work and immediately noticed two things: The attendant took three tries to get my car filled AND car lurched or jerked a little every time I gave it a little more gas - all on the way home. I immediately called him and tried to tell him about this worrisome situation but he would not listen and said he was too busy - just "bring it in" sometime. Steve Rohloff knows I am in my late 70's and handicapped and that my brother is handicapped with the loss of both legs too and it was difficult for me to drive all the way out there and I guess he thought this would discourage me....which it did for a while. I decided to take to Germain Honda to have serviced for anything it might need and they did a great job on the few things it needed at that time, sometime in August. In the meantime, I don't drive much except to stores for my brother (who I have taken care of for over 20 years now and who lives with me) so I continued to drive my car for a little while longer and then took it to Germain for servicing because of the lurching and they discovered shards of gunk in the "new" transmission fluid and advised me to take back to Cottman's to have them fix their earlier work. I did take it in immediately and that was more than 2 weeks ago now and they still haven't fixed my car. Different excuses each time. My stress levels - against all my doctors' advice - are sky-high right now because I am not sure what to do to get my car repaired right and back from Cottman's. I might add I am afraid of the owner especially after googling his name and finding a complaint HE wrote about Chase Bank "ripping him off" - you can read his SCARY letter by typing his name and going down to it where he has written the letter about Chase - vulgar, threatening and in my opinion, sociopathic in nature. I have told you all this so you will understand thoroughly how I was feeling when I met Eddie - one of the kindest, most understanding people I've ever met. I did not go into all this detail with him but Eddie is so empathetic and caring, he knew I was upset and nervous when I bought my car in. I felt like crying when I walked in but from the moment he greeted me so warmly, he actually made me smile after I have felt so sad and alone re my transportation problems and after overpaying Cottman's and STILL not having a working car. I felt so much better and more hopeful. And Germain Honda gave my car a quick and free check up and discovered only the transmission problem. As Eddie's so-apt quote said and I paraphrase: "Years later, people won't remember what you said; they won't remember what you did and but they will NEVER forget how you made them FEEL." I will NEVER forget how Eddie made me FEEL when I was and still am at such a difficult and low point of my life - Many people are able to establish a welcoming atmosphere and are courteous public relations people but FEW are so genuinely concerned and caring as Eddie. Germain Honda is very, very fortunate to have such an employee. I might add that all your employees I have come across have been considerate too. I have always had my car serviced at Honda throughout the years and I will continue to have it serviced at GERMAIN Honda from now on....i.e., if I still have a working automobile after Coffman finally gets it back to me. Sorry to have made this so long but felt it necessary to explain in detail why I am grateful to Eddie Sorrell and to Germain Honda. Sincerely, J.L. Brown More
