Recommends unnecessary work My wife took our vehicle in for recall service and oil change. Received a voicemail indicating vehicle had several problems. Mainly that 3 of 4 brak My wife took our vehicle in for recall service and oil change. Received a voicemail indicating vehicle had several problems. Mainly that 3 of 4 brake calipers were seized and needed replaced and 4th had parts improperly installed. Knowing all brakes were recently done, I called into Lee and was given an estimate of over $1000 to replace 3 calipers, pads, resurface rotors and fix parts improperly installed. When asked to explain the “seized” calipers and what parts were properly installed. He seemed unable to explain. Although skeptical, I declined recommendations but did schedule service with another service provider considering these concerning recommendations. Nothing was found to be wrong with any of the calipers nor anything installed improperly. Simply rear pads needed replaced which were under warranty. I feel strongly this was a blatant attempt to take advantage of my wife and her trust in your dealership. This is the second such experience this year. Needless to say I incurred unnecessary inconvenience going to a second provider and additional expense. My trust in Lee and your dealership is marginally above that of any quicky lube tech making commissions on up sells . Very disappointed. More
Honda Fit Recall help I contacted the dealership to try and schedule an appointment for an urgent recall on the airbag inflator. Initially I didn't get a call back when I c I contacted the dealership to try and schedule an appointment for an urgent recall on the airbag inflator. Initially I didn't get a call back when I chatted online with someone on Tuesday. I called again on Wednesday and no one from service picked up, but they called me back immediately after I hung up! They were able to get me in the same day, had several appointment times that worked for me. Appointment was scheduled for 1:30, but I was able to drop it off early. Lee Blanzy was my service rep and he was awesome; friendly and genuinely concerned about my initial issues getting a call back. Told me at most it would be done by 3:30 and they would call. Got a call at 2:21 from Lee that it was completed! Safety Recall completed and my wife is happy. Funny thing is I called another dealership where my wife bought her Honda, in the Dayton Mall area, and they couldn't get me in until March of 2018! A safety recall and this 'other' dealership didn't seem too concerned. I will never take my Honda's anywhere but to Germain from now on! Thanks again... More
