Long overdue service on 2009 Accord As usual Dan Danner has always been very candid in explaining the details of the service and whether or not the service was needed now or could be per As usual Dan Danner has always been very candid in explaining the details of the service and whether or not the service was needed now or could be performed at a later date. This time some service on my 2009 Accord was long overdue. While I initially proposed routine maintenance (flushing and replacement of master brake cylinder and transmission fluids) Dan also recommended replacing the timing belt and water pump since the vehicle was over 7 years old (but still had less than the 105,000 miles which is the recommended mileage for this service). Dan recommended I allow the mechanic to do a "hard look" to see if any other systems needed attention rather than perform a service that might not otherwise be needed. This approach allowed me to have only the necessary service done at this time. Thanks, Dan, for your recommendations. More
