Good people who are trying, but their standards are lacking I will begin by stating that I am speaking out simply to inform others of the situation at Germain Honda Service. I have found the employees working in the Service Department of Germain Honda to be friendly and genuinely trying to do a good job. However, the department as a whole has gone down hill in their standards. I visited the dealership twice in the past two days. In my experience, every single employee that I came into contact with was new to their job and did not have the knowledge needed to appropriately handle my requests. They tried to handle the situation, but they lack the expertise to make it happen. My favorite Service Advisor for many years was Dan Danner. He is no longer with the company. When asking about his abscence, I was told that every person working there had been there fourth months, maximum. This to me was a red flag. Another red flag was the fact that I was not greeted upon exiting my vehicle in the pull up lane entry point. Upon walking inside, there was no welcome. I stood around for a good five minutes before anyone made eye contact. It was another five minutes before I was asked if I needed help. I then went forth and had my oil change after more minutes of being shuffled around and also informed that my wait would be longer than expected. I had waited all week to get a car wash, (even though my vehicle needed cleaned) since I knew I was having a service at Germain and would receive a car wash there. Upon leaving, my car was still clearly filthy. I asked my advisor about the car wash and he stated that they had NEVER given car washes in the four months he had been there. I have been coming to Germain Service (prior Hidy Honda) for 15 years and was last in when I purchased my Pilot from them on 12/28/2018. The fact that they were no longer providing a car wash with your vehicle service was another disappointing surprise. I left, annoyed, frustrated, and not happy. After having my oil change and returning home, I woke up the following morning to find that my Pilot had been leaking oil in my garage. Obviously unacceptable, I called then to take my vehicle back again to be serviced and to have their oil leak fixed. Letting my advisor know the situation including what I felt to be a sub par service experience the day prior, they got me in to fix the oil leak that was caused by the service tech the day prior. In total, I waited 90 minutes for something that should have been properly handled the day before. I expressed my dissatisfaction and was refunded the cost of my oil change for my 2018 Honda Pilot. Still, not pleased as I had waited and dealt with this unnecessary issue, my service advisor asked what I needed them to do in order for me to give their service team a second chance. I told Eli, who did a great job that I was not angry, yet extremely frustrated and annoyed by the inconvenience. He expressed his understanding and went to his service manager. They did their best to keep my happy by offering a free future oil change and exterior car detail. I applaud their effort to try to make things right and appreciate their attempt to do so. Even though, they gave exceptional effort to rectify the issue, we should have never been in this unfortunate situation in the first place. To summarize my thoughts, I feel that the department is lacking in professionalism, knowledge, and clearly their standards for a simple oil change are not up to par. If I were you, I would suggest looking elsewhere for your car service needs. More

I had been s I’ve been a customer for some time now, probably for the last 130,000 miles. It started with a coupon for $50.00 I received in the mail. I had been servicing my Odyssey at a local oil change services place. Where later I learned that the place I had been taking my Odyssey to liked to use an impact wrench to loosen the plug of the oil pan. Your service department re-drilled the plug but later I ended up replacing the whole oil pan. Which was fine and a lesson learned. The older I get the wiser I’ve become and more likely to speak up. I always received excellent customer service from your service advisers, such as Dan Danner, Doug Wickett, Dave Peters, and Eli Craft. Larry and the other shuttle drivers have been great also. I’ve had several great conversations with the shuttle drive as they gave me a ride home or back to Germain. Not to mention the many times I waited in the waiting area with snacks and beverages and TV which help to pass the wait time. It appears the problems I’ve experienced is from the people behind the scene. Back in January 2018, I was in contact with the Germain Honda of Beavercreek website Concierge via Chat through the website. My concern at the time was in regards to three lug nuts missing from the passenger side tire. That evening after finding the missing lug nuts I was intact with the website through Chat and spoke to Brax B. He informed me that the information would be forward and a member of the team and they would be contacting me. Well, I'm still waiting for them to contact me. April 2019, I made a complaint about the service I received on my Honda Odyssey. This time I had a nail in my tire. When I got home I was missing the center cap and valve stem cap. The next day I drove to Cincinnati, so driving over 60 miles an hour the steering wheel was vibrating so much that it felt like I was holding on to a push lawnmower. Again I was in contact with the website via Chat. And again I was told that my information would be forward to a member who would be contacting me. Again I’m still waiting for that call/email. June 2019, I was unable to make an appointment through the Germain website, so I made an appointment via the Websites Chat. I asked for an Oil Change and Tire Rotation. The Germain website appeared not to be working or the buttons to make an appointment were not displayed. That’s how I ended up making an appointment via Website Chat. I dropped my Odyssey off the night before. Filling out the envelope and checking Oil Change and handwriting Tire Rotation on the envelope. The Service Adviser informed me that I had brake light out and I was very appreciative that I was not charged labor for the brake light bulb installation. But I was very shocked at check out that my total was $122.00. Which most can understand that if you are expecting a $85.00 bill and it’s $122.00 one might be taken by surprise. The Service Adviser explained that there was a charge for the Tire Balance. The Tire Balance charge came from the Website’s Concierge and the Service Adviser going by what the Concierge had scheduled. Not taking note of the envelope with the type of service requested. Feeling emotional about the situation and past experiences I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to find a new place to have my Odyssey and my husband’s CRV serviced. Even though the Service Adviser made it right by not charging me for the tire balance, I left with the feeling of being “one of those customers.” The service I’ve recently received has been below par. It’s to the point that I’m embarrassed to return because I feel that I’ve become “one of those customers.” A customer who when you see the name, you roll your eyes at. More
Good people, good experience Day one...went in searching for a used car. First salesperson that found me on the lot was Steve Burden. I gave him a rough idea of what i was lookin for and he got right to work walkin me through all the potential deals. He was incredibly patient and professional....even though i am a very demanding person thats not easy to please. It felt more like i was dealing with an old friend, not a car sales rep. I was probably there a couple hours that first day....test driving different cars, trying to negotiate the best deals. He never once made me feel pressured or rushed...even though im sure he could've found easier customers to deal with and most likely missed out on making those deals. End of the day, we couldnt come to an agreement on anything. Day two...i had gone to a different dealership and test drove a 2016 Honda Civic LX. Really liked the car and that dealership made me a very good offer. Earler in the day, Steve had sent me a short video of one of their cars that he thought id like. That little extra effort impressed me more, so i decided to hold off on buying the other car. I went in to see Steve again. I showed him the deal i was looking at and asked if Germain could beat it. Steve ended up helping me find the same car, with significantly lower mileage, AND beat the price by $250! I bought it on the spot. I know this review is extremely long, but i feel that this level of service and dedication deserves the full story. Germain has a very good selection of cars and theyre definitely competitive on prices. For people that like an easier car buying experience, Germain's online pricing is what you will pay. They seem very dedicated to finding the best prices/values and putting it all out front so theres no hassle or mysteries. I left there satisfied with the experience overall and would recommend them to anyone thats lookin for the most bang for your buck More

I hate going to a dealer and they force cars on you or stop you from looking. Steve made sure to listen and find what we were looking for! We gave him price ranges and he stayed in them. Other dealers would be like it's only 5k more or it's worth the 5 k more. Not Steve he understood were a family on a budget and we're there to find a safe reliable car and in our price range! Our first car we got from Steve, he actually called us like hey this car came in it's 3rd row it's leather it's in your price range, would you like to come look! Yes he continued to look even after we left the lot! So we went and it was perfect for us! So of course following year we needed another vehicle little bigger because we travel for sports and of course we called Steve! Of course Steve came through with our Chysler Town and Country. We love it and couldn't be happier! Then we referred our mother inlaw who also bought her car from Steve. He was just all around a great dealer, proffesional but clearly a family man who knows the value of a family Dollar! He understood us and cared and didn't pressure is and made us feel comfortable and most importantly Trust! Thanks Steve you are Awesome! More

The cars purpose is to get my special needs daughter to and from therapies. This specific car ended up being a bit of a nightmare. It broke down multiple times and needed a new transmission. It then broke down again on vacation... the team at Germain bought my car back for almost what I bought it for and worked hard to make things right. I am happily in a 2019 and am confident this run will be better. Hands down you should buy your car here from Steve. The managers Eddie and Robert were over the top helpful too. More

It was simply the best experience I ever had in buying a car! My salesman Eric Westley was very professional! From the minute I walked in the door to the end of the transaction there was never a pushy moment or stressful situation. It was truly the best experience I ever had at a car dealership. I purchased a 2019 CR-V, it'll be a while before I purchase another but I most definitely will return! More
