We have been coming to Howard Cooper/Germain since 2008. We have always worked with Joel, and he has treated us like rockstars every time we walk in the building. This time my Honda Civic was totaled from an accident I had on I-94 going 70 mph. The car kept me safe, and I walked away with some minor aches and pains. I called Joel and he made picking up my new Civic so easy. Leasing with Honda is great because they provide financial protection if your car is totaled. I was in for Oil change, etc., tire rotation. Ric greeted me in the express lane and was very professional, very friendly and happily answered my questions. He was able to provide me with a discount for the services provided; that is always a happy thing. The service was accomplished in a short time and I was out of there in a timely manner. This was my first visit since Germain has taken over for Howard Cooper. I have been dealing with HC for many years and was nervous, to say the least, when the sale was announced. I was able to chat for a bit with Don Durham; he helped set aside my anxiety about the change. He assured me that as far as I am concerned as a customer, if I see any change in the care and service, it will be positive. You have probably already heard from many of the Howard Cooper faithfuls that you have big shoes to fill. I wish you the best. 100% of my visits to Howard Cooper are for service and approximately 99% of the time Steve is my service coordinator. This visit I had an oil change. When I pulled in the garage, Steve greeting with me "Good morning Audrey, how are you today?" I am sorry but I didn't get the gentleman's name that did my oil change but he also was very polite and gracious. I have had very good experience with my Honda Fit, but one day it did not start at all. Made an appt, jump-started it and took it in to Germain. Don was very thorough and explained that they would check one day it did not start at all. Made an appt, jump-started it and took it in to Germain. Don was very thorough and explained that they would check the ignition system and charging system and measure "key out" current draw to see if there was a fault somewhere in the vehicle that was drawing enough current to drain the battery overnight. Turned out that the battery itself had developed a bad cell that shorted out the whole battery. They put in a new battery, printed out the test reports for me and there was no charge for parts or labor. I was able to pick up the car later that day. How could I not be very satisfied with top-notch service like this? :-) --John A. More
