I was really glad to find the same patient, no pressure, and reasonable sales approach in place. The only complaint I would make is that I wish I had been told it might take up to 2 1/2 hours for financing to be found after picking out the model I wanted, or if I had time to wait that long (I know, partly my fault for not saying I couldn't stick around that long). I primarily dealt with Jeff Williams, who was very helpful in providing information on the car I had originally come in for ( a Ford Fiesta), and in communicating with me while trying to get approved. When it was determined that the loan type I needed would find my unable to get the Fiesta, Evan Carrier suggested one that was very similar in every way but color to the car I had originally been wanting. Thanks to Stan Harris and Evan working so hard to get me into a car, I was able to get into a fantastic car, with even less miles on it than the one I had originally come in looking at. I could not be happier with the car I purchased, or with the service I received. More
Love their service department but not sales dept Great service for years at this organization. Went back to buy a new car twice and got rotten reception and sales treatment. The Customer is the Priority. We worked with Salesperson Kay Caldwell initially. She was patient, informative and helpful in every way possible, helping us to choose the right car We worked with Salesperson Kay Caldwell initially. She was patient, informative and helpful in every way possible, helping us to choose the right car, over the course of three separate visits. If she did not know an answer, she would say so and would research the answer for us. She never rushed us. Her focus was helping us to choose the vehicle that was right for us. There was no pressure - just honest and sincere guidance. By the time we finally made a decision (2016 Odyssey EXL with Navigation), Kay was out of the office but that did not matter. Salesperson Kristin Malik greeted us just as warmly as if we had been her clients from the beginning. She sat down with us for several hours, guided us through our final model choice, helped us decide on accessories and then obtained competitive pricing. When we vacillated on the choice of accessories, she patiently showed us the various choices of interior mats etc and then cheerfully reworked the quote a couple of times until we finally had a choice of quotes (with different combinations of accessories) to mull over at home. In the interim, Kristin and Sales Manager Jason Brinkmann got to work finding just the color and interior in the model we wanted. They did not try to talk us out of our choice to sell us one of their own inventory. They simply got to work and looked all over the region until they found the vehicle that matched our specs perfectly. The day before the car arrived, we happened to be in Ann Arbor and Kristin took care of finalizing our choice of accessories, some preliminaries of financing and had our current 2006 Honda Odyssey (with 230,000 miles) appraised very fairly for a competitive trade-in value. The next day our new Odyssey arrived at the Ann Arbor dealership and, again, we were already in the Ann Arbor area so we called to see if we could take delivery. This was Kristin's day off but she dropped what she was doing and came in to the dealership to detail the car herself, to finish the paperwork, to finish the trade-in process, and to give us a very thorough orientation to the car. After we left with our new Odyssey, Kristin elected to stay to meet with another of her customers who happened to come in while she was working with us. So, essentially, Kristin generously worked during her entire day off just for the convenience and for the benefit of her customers. To me, that demonstrates real "customer-priority". Every day that we came into the dealership during the process of shopping for our new vehicle Sales Manager Jason Brinkman would come over periodically to make sure that all was going well and to answer questions that Kay or Kristin had. Jason would usually be at the front door to greet us and at the same place to say goodbye when we left during our five trips to the dealership. I thought that he had a very pleasant and welcoming personality and that he really knew how to play the support role of a manager with just the right amount of involvement and monitoring. Jason didn't fool around with the price. It was obvious that he gave us a fair and competitive price at the outset. There was really no need to go back-and-forth over the price according to my research. This was a painless process. They have taken care of us for the 16 years over which we now purchased four different Hondas. They never disappoint. Also, their service department is superb. Finally, Evan Carrier, handled our warranty discussions and financing paperwork with enthusiasm, honesty and an excellent knowledge of the various warranty products. He was very patient with us throughout our process of making a decision as whether to purchase one of the extended warranties or not. This dealership is superb and I'll warrant that it is second to none. We came away knowing that their priority is the customer and not the sale. If it sounds too good to be true then just give them a try and see for yourself. After purchasing four vehicles over 16 years, the Sales and Service of Germain Honda of Ann Arbor continue to exceed our expectations. More
