I communicated with the sales manager there, and he said he would contact me if anything changed with the cars availability. It was "available " at 3:00 pm on the Friday before, then all of the sudden, on Saturday morning when I got to the dealership, it was sold ?? I think the car was never available, and they just wanted to get me into the dealership. More

Over the last 20 years I have purchased and had serviced four cars at this place. In the past three years they have turned into a real "turn and burn" profits above all else dealership. Depending on the salesman, you will either get skinned or get a fair deal. There F&I people real sharks. Not saying Germain is horrible, just be careful and don't expect any loyalty for being a return customer. It's a shame to see another Ann Arbor institution fall by the wayside. 8/2/18 -- In response to Mr. Farkas. Yes, I realize there are still employees left from the Howard Cooper days, and they are the folks that continue to make the dealership where I continue to get my vehicles serviced and will probably continue to consider when purchasing. My point was, what had made Howard Cooper a wonderful dealership seems to be lost on some of the newer employees. Request a quote one day and the Mgt. quotes the listed price + taxes and fees. Come back with an offer from a competitor that beats the original quote by $1500 and it is accepted by another sales manager. After dealing with this dealership for close to twenty years I expect better. More
