At the end of 2020, I had an issue when I picked the truck up where the battery was dead the next morning. Checking lights, nothing was apparent and ultimately I was able to figure out that the Park detect switch was not working, so all internal operations remained energized. The solution offered by Germaine was a new gear shift selector. This item had to be custom ordered, I had to pay half up front and was given a date of January 6th. Since it was the holiday period, I believed I could manage without the vehicle until then. I called to check status on January 6th and was told the ship date had been pushed to February 12th. As you would imagine, I was very upset and opted to hit up the local garage who was able to get me running in two days. I then called to get the upfront money I had paid to Germaine. I called the service advisor and checked back several times. Ultimately, the service manager Brent Henthorn got involved. He kept me posted of the status without me having to check in and got a check out to me quickly.. I very much appreciated his attention to this matter, his professional demeanor and the updates prior to receiving the refund. He made a somewhat negative experience much more acceptable and as a result, I will return to Germaine.m More

After Ford Taurus just stopped. Towed it to Germain as this is where our two kids buy their vehicles. It was diagnosed a new Engine would be needed. After spending another night at our son's, we decided to go ahead and have the car done there. We rented a car to drive home to Northville, Michigan. This was November 3 and hoping to get the car by Thanksgiving so kids could drive it up. My husband called service a few times and we got no return calls. The only person to help us was our son's salesman who sold him his truck. He at least tried to communicate with service department. We got nowhere. Our car was parked in the same spot it had been in since November 3, over six weeks, and If we had known this to begin with we would have taken our car back to Michigan. On December 18, 2020 we paid $500 to tow our car back to our wonderful dealership Milliken Ford in Redford Michigan. They called the night the car was delivered and the next day we got a call that a tech was working on our car. Communication is the key to good business practice and you will not get this at Germain. No wonder they call Detroit the Motor City. Germain Ford Service Department is definitely the Grinch who Stole Christmas. Karol More

Had an issue with my Edge and Nick Eckard worked tirelessly to find the part to fix the issue. Without an appointment, was in and out in a day. The only complaint I have is that the service hours are not correctly indicated on their website or on the phone. Thanks Nick and team! More

James Soto assured me of its roadworthiness including new brakes before we flew in to pick it up. While the rear brakes were fine and the front brakes had new pads, the front rotors were warped and deeply grooved, typical of worn out. In multiple email message, I was assured that the rotors had been turned, which obviously they had not. In addition to pulsing whenever braking, our mechanic said the rotors were "in bad shape." However, instead of standing behind their sale, they refused to reimburse me for the new rotors I had to have installed and continued to insist that their service technician insisted that he had turned the rotors. His word against mine, but why would I invent such a story or have any interest in fixing the brakes if they had been working fine. I would NOT recommend dealing with these people, especially if you're from out of town or out of state. They said they would not reimburse my brake job because they "could not reinspect their work." I guess I just didn't figure it would make much sense to drive back 1600 miles to have them fix what they said was done in the first place. James is a smooth talker and friendly guy, but obviously not trustworthy or willing to stand behind his word. More

After the general service Nick reviewed the requirements to address the engine light. It would take an additional 1 1/2 hours. I couldn't continue to wait so Nick drove me home while the vehicle stayed for repairs. You can't get better than this. Great person, great service. I would rwcommend Germain Ford for service. You can rest assured it will be done correctly. More

Germain had it for 3 days (I didn't get a loaner) and when I got it back I thought the issue was resolved. On March 15 I noticed it was leaking again, so I took it back. I insisted on a loaner and it's a good thing I did because they ended up keeping my car for 9 days. Interestingly, when I would drive by after work my car was always sitting in the exact same spot... Even though they had my car for 9 days they didn't even clean the water stains off the headliner! Two days after I picked it up (and cleaned the water stains myself) I noticed water stains had reappeared after a brief shower. I was able to recreate the leak with a 12 ounce bottle of water poured on the roof, leading me to believe no one had tested it after supposedly fixing the leak. Trip 3 to Germain, and this time I spoke to the service manager, Brent Henthorne. He looked up my service from 2 days earlier (the one where they had my car for 9 days) and he confirmed they had worked on it for 1 day. One day out of nine. You would think they would have really been on top of my repair this time wouldn't you? Nope - they had my car for 2 full weeks! In the process of removing the roof rack to repair the leak they damaged the rail and had to order a new one. In the process of installing the new roof rack they cracked my windshield. In the process of either removing or replacing the roof rack they put 2 dents in my roof. I now have a car with a dented roof, and the new windshield vibrates when I drive into a headwind. TL/DR: Between March 15 and April 12 Germain had my car for 26 days and I got it back with more issues than it had when I dropped it off. More
