Dear Ms. Potter: Thank you for reaching out. It is my understanding that you and Mike Busch came to an agreement that we would absorb the labor and price the battery at cost. When you arrived and saw Mike was not here, you decided that you no longer wanted to pay for the battery. I called Mike at home, and he explained to me that you authorized the battery replacement based on free installation and the reduced cost. I am truly sorry that Ford could not provide the transmission control modules in a timely manner as they had 41,000 on national backorder. All Ford dealers are at the mercy of the manufacturer for warranty parts and their availability. I am sorry that your original battery failed. With a battery being 4 years old, it literally can fail at any time. You are welcome to reach out to Ford at (800) 241-3673 and see if they would be willing to make any concessions since the parts delay created a hardship with the vehicle being down. Be sure and have your VIN and current miles handy when you call. Once again, I am very sorry for the parts delay from Ford in getting your Focus repaired. I appreciate you allowing me to review this matter and respond.

Well I reached out the general manager as well as the ford customer service no one responds like usual. All I am asking if her a refund for the price of the battery. I told Mike on the phone the price was too high for me that I did not have a job and I think it’s xxxxty how long my car sat there no wonder the battery went dead and the battery was not 4 years old. I want a refund for the price of the battery I paid.

Ms. Potter: I am truly sorry that you are unemployed. But we did not cause your battery to fail. Again, Mike went over the options, and you agreed to have us install the battery. If you felt the price was still out of reach, you had the option of purchasing a battery elsewhere. Regretfully, I cannot offer you any refund for your battery. Again, I would consider reaching out to Ford as their delay on the transmission control module is what caused your vehicle to be here. Thank you again.
