This by far was one of the best experiences I had a a dealership in awhile. The service was excellent. My sales person Ferris Spiekner was very knowledgable and patience. I randomly stopped in one night and ended up leaving with a new vehicle. Ed Bemis was very helpful and informative about the truck I saw in the lot. I was looking for a Nissan Sentra thinking my only option was buying used. I looked at the website and saw the specials that Gerald Nissan was hold. We swapped information and that night I was there negotiating a great price on top of what was already offered! Being a recent graduate and just starting out I never thought that I could own a brand new car, but Gerald Nissan made that happen. They really support college graduates and Carlos was easy to work with. Not once did I feel pressured into purchasing anything which made me all the more open to buying from him. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful, which in my search for a car I was not running into often. I would recommend them to anyone! More

The first communications with Paul at Gerald took place over the phone. Very pleasant, we spoke about our needs, budget and started the process. Paul informed me of a credit issue(we lost a house during a relo) but besides that my credit was perfect. He told me financing can usually get past a one-off like that. My wife and 2 of my 5 children went in to the dealership to work with the dealership to get to a deal. We were past on to Joe after we met Paul and took a test drive in the vehicle while finance was working the numbers. Three hours later Joe presented us a number for the vehicle that was $300.00 above our budget @ 17.5% interest. They wanted 43k dollars for a 27k dollar vehicle. If that wasn't enough of an insult or an attempt at a money grab(I will not judge)after all this wasted time, Joe makes a final attempt at a sale by holding onto my car key and telling me he was going to show me a vehicle in my budget at which time he pulled up a 5 passanger Kia Sonata, mind you I have 5 children. After the final slap in the face we went home. The next day we contacted Nate over at Thomas Nissan in Joliet, went in about 2pm and drove off at 4pm in our brand new Nissan Quest within our budgeted payment @ 2.9% financing. Ferris once again was very personable, friendly and appreciate his hard work. Because of Ferris I will continue to go to Nissan and work with him. Sean was awesome at working with his team in getting to the payment I was in need of along with amount of down payment. Unfortunately, I was very ill for 2 years and have an ill child so my finances were hurt hard and I am working aggressively to fix my credit and establish myself financially. For Sean to be able to work as long as he did goes beyond my words on how appreciative I was and grateftul. I hope for my next vehicle purchase I get to work with him as well as Ferris, they make a great team. I unfortunately though almost didnt leave with the new vehicle due to an unpleasant experience when signing and going over the paperwork. I cannot recall the 2 gentlemans names but it was the main individual that had me almost leaving without a new car. I definitely was rushing in this purchase without being able to go home and really thorougly review my finances but knew what I could afford at the moment. The gentelman was not listening to me at all when I stated I would have to decline from taking on the added warrenty due to my finances and not being able to fully review them. After constant constant (as I felt bullying) I advised I had a medical condition that I am still paying for and even though he felt 12 a month was no big deal it was for me. I have to be very strict with my finances due to my son now as well and having to pay for him to go to a hospital out of state. So 12 a month may not of been a big deal to me another day but for now I need to save every dollar I can. I felt he was insulting to my decline of 12 a month and finally became very upset, stressed and in tears stating no one is listening to me, I feel I am being pressured and bullied and I would rather just not take the car and leave with my current vehicle. The gentleman's first response was is that what you want to do. If it wasnt for Ferris and Sean I would of walked out but I calmed down and said no if you will leave me alone with adding the 12.00. He left it alone and I signed the paperwork. I walked out very upset and not enjoying this experience because of him. Ferris and Sean had made it a great experience but because of this gentleman the excitement of the new car was lost and I felt as if I still wanted to return the car. Ferris and Sean are the only reasons I am keeping the vehicle and will return. However, if I am to go over paperwork etc with this gentelman I will refuse or come back another day. It is a shame for someone to not be understanding of clients financial sitution and to bring them to the point of releasing personal information, and brought to tears before your point is made. I came in to Gerald Nissan to return a leased vehicle with no intention of buying a new one. After my initial visit and a nice encounter with Carlos Galvez, I brought the family back to test drive a Nis with no intention of buying a new one. After my initial visit and a nice encounter with Carlos Galvez, I brought the family back to test drive a Nissan Armada. This came after many phone calls with Carlos in determining what exactly I was looking for and establishing a price that I found acceptable. This deal involved buying out an old lease on a GMC and Carlos hunting down options on and off the lot that would meet my needs. He was great to work with and made the deal essentially effortless. I never think these deals go as quickly as they should after a price is agreed upon, but we were able to pull it off without either of my boys (5 and 2yrs old)tearing a part the showroom or damaging any other cars. That's pretty impressive. Thanks to Carlos and everyone else at Gerald Nissan. More
