Never in my life have I been more dead-set on a car purchase, only to be so completely *mortified* by the absolute sleaze and sales gimmicks of Gerald Nissan of Naperville, that I literally had to just purchase, only to be so completely *mortified* by the absolute sleaze and sales gimmicks of Gerald Nissan of Naperville, that I literally had to just walk out. The good-cop/bad-cop duo of these two employees is the worst display of customer relationship management I have ever seen. Honestly, I've never seen any establishment treat any potential customer this poorly EVER! I never take the time to write reviews, but this place really is so poor that I feel the need to share. So here goes: This was a transaction that should not have been any easier. I had my checkbook, my plates, and everything ready to go. I had been trading e-mails with Paul Gawel, and we had agreed to a price ahead of time. So I expected that when I walked in, it was just going to be a matter of signing a few documents and taking delivery of the car. I could not have been any more *wrong*. When the brand new Nissan Rogue I was interested in wouldn't start, and had a completely dead battery, I should have taken that as an omen and ran. But I didn't. We waited for service to jump start it, and we did a test drive on a track behind the dealership. No problems yet. Then we walked into their office, and that is where the games began. They did not honor on price Paul Gawel quoted me at all. And they refused to do an apples-to-apples price comparison between what 'carsdirect.com' was offering, and what they were. Paul and Frank demanded that the price they originally quoted me via e-mail, came with a very high interest rate loan (considering that the Rogue was *supposed* to come with a 0.0% financing deal for 36-months *OR* $1,000 cash back). I told them I did want a loan at all; that I wanted the cash back; and that I would pay cash. They didn’t listen to a word of it, and out came the loan application. I still played along, and it got even more ridiculous. They kept trying to further push the price up with extras and packages that are already factory installed and included on the vehicle anyways. It was just non-stop games and bull. These two individuals are the poster-child of sleazy Dallas used car salesman. I still plan to purchase a Nissan Rogue, but I will be completing the transaction via 'carsdirect.com' with the caveat that order *NOT* be filled through Gerald Nissan! More
Ric was such a big help fixing my car. We were very selective about the exact model we wanted and the exact options and Greg guided us through the process and did not try to change our minds or encourage us to select another model. We were given an internet quote and they not only stuck to it, they didn't try a bait and switch approach with us; which we greatly appreciated. The dealership didn't try to charge us more money by confusing us with monthly payments instead of overall cost. Purchasing a new Nissan from Gerald was the most pleasant experience in almost twenty years of car buying. More

This was the 4th new car (a Nissan Cube) that i have bought, and without question, the best car buying experience of the 4. Honestly I hate dealing with "Dealerships", but I did my homework on the Inter bought, and without question, the best car buying experience of the 4. Honestly I hate dealing with "Dealerships", but I did my homework on the Internet to determine a fair price and see what was in stock, and made a phone call to Gerald Nissan. It was 6:00pm when I called and talked to Salesman Greg Queen for about 10 min. At 7:00pm Greg called back and quoted me a price. At 8:00pm, we arrived at Gerald Nissan Dealership (we live a half hour away) and at 9;30pm, we drove away with our new car. And the deal was complete, financing and all. It just doesn't get any better (faster) than that. Now of course all sales people should be nice, because who wants to buy a car from someone who isn't. But Mr. Greg Queen, our salesman, was excellent. It was pleasure to meet him and buy a car from him, and he will be the first person I call if I want another Nissan, or if I win the L ottery, an Infinity. He was sincerly nice, and that's different than just nice. When I drove away from the Dealership, I noticed myself. I felt good, and excited about my new car. The last 3 cars I bought, I drove away exhausted, wanting to hurt something. Anything. More

New car price was as quoted on the internet, with discounts, provided good trade-in for my car. Overall it was a good experience. This is my first visit to this dealer and am happy with service and purchase so far, of course it's only been two days :) More
