Fantastic Car at an affordable price!!! Howard was able to find my son Eric who is a junior year college student an extremely clean 2012 Ford Focus. We are all very happy with how quickly Howard worked to make this happen for Eric in his first car purchase. The car had been cared for very well and Howard reacted to that and quickly scooped it up for us, thank you again Howard for your terrific, and expedient response to our need!! If you don't mean it, don't advertise it! I asked for a quote on a car, and received an email response letter saying quote "That is why all of our internet prices come with No Gimmicks and No I asked for a quote on a car, and received an email response letter saying quote "That is why all of our internet prices come with No Gimmicks and No Fine Print. All you have to do with our quote is add tax, title, license and document fee to our internet price and that's the price you pay". And "Don't support misleading business practices; buy your next car from Gerald! We will beat any LEGITIMATE deal!" Signed by Paul Gawel the internet Sales Manager. Guess what, neither of those statements are true. 1. I had a legitimate offer from another dealer for $14,900 on a comparable car from a reputable dealer in writing-they were "shocked" and flat out said, nope, we can't match that. 2. There is a $995 "LOT FEE" added to the sales price despite the fact that in their letter they say that all you add is tax title and license fee. Classic bait and switch/false advertising. Nice salesmen, terrible business practice. More
Service Tries to Sell Unnecessary Services I had an oil change and tire rotation. First time to this dealer. They tried to sell me services that I didn't need. I bought this truck used just 4 m I had an oil change and tire rotation. First time to this dealer. They tried to sell me services that I didn't need. I bought this truck used just 4 months ago. The dealer I bought it from (not Gerald) had done work on it and also repaired things within 24 hours of me buying. To be sure I had an independent mechanic look it over and he gave it a clean bill of health. I had the drive belt replaced and a few other maint items in Feb. It's May and Gerald Nissan is telling me that my brake fluid was dirty, the 4x4 fluids were dirty and that the belt I had just replaced was already wearing out because it wasn't genuine Nissan part. What a load of crap. I had my independent mechanic look at it today and the belt is still so new that the numbers on the belt are not even worn. Also the fluids that were "dirty" are all still good. Unbelievable. Two other establishments tell me how good things are and Gerald says otherwise...DO NOT GO TO GERALD. Also...they will shuttle home or to work, but they will NOT pick you back up. Naperville Toyota, Honda, Mercedes will do both. More

He also made our overall car buying experience very relaxed and not stressful at all. He explained everything to us very thoroughly and made sure we were happy with the car itself before we signed any papers. I felt like our experience with him was more like talking with a friend than a salesman-he was not pushy at all! Overall a wonderful experience and he would be a reason why we would buy another car from this dealer in the future. More
