I have since purchased the vehicle we test drove from another dealer. My issue in this case with Gerald (whom I have purchased 4 previous vehicles and had all my service performed with) is as soon as I said I wouldn't by that day but would discuss with them on the phone the next day everything changed. Both Byron and Deen turned aggressive...bordering on rude...and it never got better from there. My overall experience with the dealership for 15 years has been nothing but excellent and it is my hope that my recent experience is isolated to me but it did leave such a poor impression that I will likely travel twice as far now to have my service done just because of the toxic experience I just had. More

I got all of my questions answered in what I felt was very honest and professional manner. There was no pressure to purchase. Howard was very pleasant to talk to and extremely helpful. He made our purchasing experince very smooth and stress free. Mark Jilich from the service department made sure we got to talk to Deen. Mark has been making sure that our 5 year old Pathfinder runs without a hitch after 5 years and 100K miles and is a great person that we trust. Deen helped my wife and I get pricing and financing we needed. Finally, Kevin wrapped up all the paper work while explaining everything we needed to know. This was truly great team work that resulted with a purchase of a great vehicle that my family is very happy with. Gerald Nissan is a car dealership we plan to stick with. Don't worry - Dad is happy with Gerald Nissan too! Howard actually cares about what kind of vehicle you are in. He genuinely does his best to accommodate people's needs/wants. Remember there ARE GOOD PEOPLE in the world! It's important for him to know that YOU (the customer) feels at ease and comfortable. Howard worked with finance and management quickly. Everyone was polite, kind, and fun. Not too many people can say that they had a fun time at a car dealership but I know I did. When people sing and dance anywhere - life is fun! NO NEGATIVITY ALLOWED. Anyone whom can carry out a professional business deal with the customer, management, & finance department... all the while, everyone on the team had FUN - deserves more than a positive review. Oh, and also... I wasn't even going to buy a car this particular rainy day. Howard was just going to show me some cars he had in mind - while I was still renting - that I may be interested in when I am ready to. I DECIDED that evening, that I DID want to look into actual numbers and move forward. He asked me what my needs and wants were for the car AND also the financial part of the deal. There was no pressure felt once, or anything of the sort. In the end, I left with a new car - that I felt SAFE in, economical, and comfortable with. My wife and I have been leasing vehicles from this location for YEARS. In fact, we financed/leased a total of 7 cars in past years. We returned our last lease of a Nissan rouge in November, and we decided to finance our most recent vehicle. Part of the deal was we'd be able to turn in our lease and finance a new model without having to pay the final leasing fees. About a month after our last purchase we were receiving calls from a collection agency saying we owed nearly $1000. We contacted Nissan right away to inform them of the issue and they said they'd take care of it. January comes around and we are still receiving calls from the same collection agency. Again, we contact Gerald Nissan of Naperville and they assured us it's being taken care of. It is now a week away from April and we are still getting letters/calls from collection agencies regarding the lease we turned in back in November!!! I've recently left messages with the manager of this location AND the sales person... I have yet to hear a reply back. DO NOT LEASE A VEHICLE FROM HERE!!!!!! More

Although they did not have the car I was looking for I was so impressed I told him " If I ever buy a new Nissan I will be sure to find him". So three years later after looking at COUNTLESS new cars for my wife we decide on a Murano. I remembered the dealer but not Howards name. I called Gerald asked for the sales manager, told him my story and said I cant remember the guys name,but he is the nicest guy in the world. He replied "Oh you must mean Howard" Enough said! More
