Pre-Owned Purchase Update Gerald Jones Honda has been the worst car buying experience that I have ever had, and continues to deliver, as ownership of my purchased pre-owned veh Gerald Jones Honda has been the worst car buying experience that I have ever had, and continues to deliver, as ownership of my purchased pre-owned vehicle continues. My previous review highlighted the horrific time consumption of the disorganized service department and not-corrected issues with the vehicle even though was told they had been rectified. Including something as small as cleaning the inside of the vehicle which we were told was completed before being sold, but was not to the extent that especially in the non-obvious places was dirty and gross enough that I was quoted over $100 for detailing due to the volume and nature of everything present. Instead it took me three hours and many cleaning methods, with some specimens found that are worried to know what actually is. The Dealership's Community Outreach employee reached out to me and was very nice and made arrangements for me to bring the vehicle by to correct the issues, which have still persisted; and even went as far as to give me a free oil change. She was very cordial and helped me greatly, but due to the disorganized service department, egregious service department employees dealt with and prolonged wait, I will not ever go back and claim the free oil change; it is not worth it. The service department employees whom I dealt with treated me as if I was attempting to get away with something, and with the audacity to make sharp, sarcastic egregious remarks about my being there. The vehicle was sold to my wife and I with the added "new tires perk" which are such low quality tires that since owning, they have had to be constantly re-inflated. Additionally, the spare that is under the rear of the truck was said to be new as well, but when stranded with a flat recently, the spare tire was in such bad shape it could not be used and appeared as if pulled from a wrecked vehicle and that tire was subject to extreme harsh treatment. Which of course caused even more issues, but the time to limp the vehicle to the closest service center twenty five minutes away-normal driving, was still shorter than the shortest time I have had to wait at Gerald Jones Honda Service Department. If you are Active Military should not have any issues, but as Reserve or Veteran (no matter if you were active before like myself) they will not help on price and in my experience talking about Reserve Weekend Duty, was responded to with it being referred to going to "play Air Force" or "you were Air Force before" and other similar remarks not in good tone. Gerald Jones Honda appears to only be beneficial and knowledgeable for New Honda Vehicles, and not trustworthy with anything other than that, and after our experience with everything we have dealt with there I would not recommend even to my worst enemy. If service is needed on the vehicle, drop it off; or you will join the many patrons falling asleep and waiting the majority of the day for their vehicles, if they remember to call for you when complete like they did not on one of my visits.
