I must say that I've been at so many Honda dealerships in the area and planet Honda had the best customer service out of 5 dealerships in the region. By the moment we were greeted by the salespeon I knew it was going to be a better experience than we have had previously that day. Roger nyhart was very friendly and personable. Roger not only went through the car by detail but he took us for a test drive that allowed us to drive on the highway. I thought that was really cool because most of the other dealers couldn't wait to get back and start the negotiation process. He then made sure we were introduced to the service dept in case I had to bring my car for service. And at this point I haven't committed on buying anything. He still took the time and made me feel like I was at home. I will definely do business with roger and planet Honda. The finance manager bob was really funny and made our finance process quick and efficient. Thanks roger and bob for making me a happy Honda owner. I almost lost faith in Honda but planet Honda really made me happy and I will never go to another dealership. Planet Honda is mine for life!!! More
I was recommended by a friend to visit Planet Honda in Matteson, IL. I had been recently looking for new car and my friend told me that she not only got the car of her dreams, but the staff was as friend Matteson, IL. Clean enviroment! I now have been recommending the same place to all of my family and friends and I suggest you do too!! Roger was great! Worked very well with me! The Manager John was also great. The entire year (2011) was a bust as it related to my car. I woke up New Year's eve determined not to have the same experiences with an unreliable car in 2012. I remembered how satisfied I was with a Honda I owned many years ago and decided to check them out again. I chose Planet Honda only because it was close to our house, but am I glad I did. I was referred to Tony McNamara by one of the other salemen and he turned out to be the right match for me. He understood immediately what I was looking for as far as type of vehicle and price considerations. He and his manager worked with the trade-in I had and met all of my other demands. I felt very comfortable with everyone I came in contact with at that dealership and left feeling not only on top of the world, but also certain this experience was a true indication that 2012 was going to be the greatest year ever. Tony is the greatest. He's friendly, helpful, and most important, concerned about his customers. I immediately recommended Tony and Planet Honda to my sister-in-law. As soon as the weather permits she intends to visit there herself with high hopes that Tony will be able to help her with securing a vehicle suited for she and her family. I'm cerain he will. I've visited the service department already to have the special paint preserver applied and found that experience to be very friendly and professional as well. I found Planet Honda when my air conditioner blew out in my 2004 CR-V. The service team is very friendly, understanding and works with me whenever any of my honda's need repair. I have 3 including an old del sol that has hard to get parts now, but they go above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of. Everyone at Planet Honda is friendly, not pushy whether you are getting repairs or shopping for a car. I have 3 children, 2 with disabilities and they have worked within my time constraints, budget and needs of my kids every time. I live a few miles from continental honda and I will pass them up and make the 30 mile drive to Planet Honda for parts, service or to get a new car. There is not a person there from sales to parts to service that doesn't make everyone feel welcome. They will answer any question you have and if they don't know the answer, they will find out. Special thanks to Tony, Mike, John and Bob for working out a great deal on my Honda Fit and a warranty that works best for us. Extra thank-yous to Ted and the service department for taking good care of my cars so my kids are safe and a shout out to parts for finding me the parts I need to restore the del sol! I was very lucky to find them when my ac blew out, they have been great to myself and the friends and family I have referred there. As a whole I don't think there is a friendlier honda dealer around. I am 39 years old and thanks to God, I have been blessed to have at least 12 vehicles over my lifetime. I have worked with numerous dealerships from buying, service, repairs and more. Now, this is what promoted me to write about Rick Maack, he went over and beyond to help my 17 daughter and I in their service department with her 97 Honda Accord. He greeted us as we were leaving, I felt so comfortable talking to him about what her vehicle needed, he immediately stopped asked us to bring her car indoors. He was so amazing, he checked everything that we had mention. I was so amazed by Rick Maack a SERVICE MANAGER, not the SERVICER (that fixed cars); Rick took his time and worked on every little thing we mention. The main issue was that my daughter needed a new door handle. I had ordered the handle before working with Rick. Rick stopped, went to service repair and got a quote. He told us to personally contact him. Today, January 13, 2012 he went over and beyond to get my daughter’s fixed. Then, he noticed her windshield wiper was broken and got it fixed. Rick Maack in the service department is one of the most amazing people that I have met in this industry. He is a valued employee Planet Honda, he is one of their best customer care representatives. Told friendly salesman my total monthly budget for car(including price/tax/fees etc.)and he met it on the floor, but didn't tell me that when I went into the finance office, a bunch of other additiona car(including price/tax/fees etc.)and he met it on the floor, but didn't tell me that when I went into the finance office, a bunch of other additional charges would apply going over budget by $50/month. After purchase, noticed engine revving on an approximate 30 second interval and 6-7 mpg drop mileage. Car wasn't doing it when I brought it in, told to return when it was. So, a few weeks later I did. Had to check-in and wait for a service technician to explain that when the defrost is on, the AC condenser kicks in, which is what I was hearing. Front desk service personnel should have been able to answer that question since it is a standard operating design on their vehicles and I'm sure I'm not the first customer to ask, as after reading the owner's manual front to back, this condition is highlighted. Complimentary car wash is poor. Unless you don't mind driving around in a car with huge blotches of dirt where they missed. $140 accessory floor mats require cutting a hole in the floor carpet and parts to hold in place. Mats for rear don't fit correctly. Mats do not hold water from snow melt well. Better off getting mats elsewhere. Warranty is only three year, 36,000 mile so you almost have to purchase some type of extension package, which they nail you on in the finance office, instead of on the sales floor. More
