I was really impressed with my last visit to Matick. I brought my Tahoe in for Service and was prepared for the worst. Something wasn't right. When I got there, Phil took care of me and listed to what I was trying to tell him was happening. Of course it was sporadic, so who knew if it was going to happen at that moment. He took it and gave me a rental, which turned out to be a new Impala with 500 miles on it. After a couple of hours he called me to let me know what they'd found, and what I could expect pricewise. It was less expensive than I'd anticipated and he said he could get it back to me the next day. When I came back to drop off the Impala, Jim the Service Manager greeted me, took care of getting me the car and explaining and showing me what they did. Overall I felt really well taken care of and look forward to getting something newer there when my husband's lease is up. More
The Employee's were very knowledgable, friendly, and polite. Donald went the extra mile to make sure we were more than happy with our new car purchase. Two weeks ago, I purchased my first new car since the 1990's. After two months of online researching, I dedicated an entire week to visiting dealerships, walking car lots, and talking with car salespeople. In a course of seven days I had visited 12 dealerships. Here's what I discovered: most of the salespeople couldn't care less about my budget, my expectations in a vehicle, the type of vehicle I wanted, or earning my business for a years to come. The majority of the dealers wanted to sell me quickly. They wanted to get the best deal-for themselves, not for me. I had salespeople try to have me complete applications before I had even selected a vehicle, few offered me the chance to even test drive the vehicle that they were trying to sell me. One salesperson, at a Hyundai dealer (not too far from Matick) offered me a test drive, but he did all of the driving! I suppose this would've been helpful if my goal was to experience a new vehicle only from the front passenger's seat. Most of these dealers couldn't remember my name when speaking with me, I'd accept this if I had a difficult name--but Stacy is one of the more sensible names to recognize. I was tired. Tired of walking dealership lots. Tired of pushy and aggressive sales tactics. Tired of not having my needs not met. Tired of the xxxx hustle that comes along with buying a car. I decided to make my last visit to George Matick Chevrolet in Redford, Michigan. I quickly learned that I HAD SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST! As soon as I arrived on the lot, I was impressed. The lot was huge and filled with new and used vehicles for all budgets, styles and personalities. I didn't feel like a piece of raw meat dropped into a shark tank. My salesman, Martin Kersey, was the best. He was pleasant, courteous and not in the least bit pushy or aggressive. He spoke with me (and he remembered my name), learned my concerns, my budget and my expectations in a vehicle and the type of vehicles that interests me. Martin took a copy of my driver's license and off I went for a test drive--a real one alone in the drivers seat. Imagine that. I got to test drive several vehicles. Not only did Martin treat me like I was a human being he made me feel relaxed and comfortable and in good hands like a family member--and not just any family member but the kind you care about. And, when there was a minor snag in my deal, Martin worked hard and went to bat for me. He got me the best deal, with the best interest rate, and put me in the vehicle that I wanted...not just a vehicle. I absolutely love my new Chevy Equinox. My brother and his family are in the market for a new vehicle and I couldn't refer Martin Kersey at George Matick Chevrolet fast enough! I'd recommend anyone looking to buy a vehicle that's tired of the hustle, the aggressive sales, or feeling like shark bait to visit Martin Kersey. Thank you, Martin for taking my business...personal. Had my problem taken care of at Matick, they were very understanding and fixed my problem with my truck. I will go back and have my truck serviced by their dept. when anything happens to my truck. I've had bad experiences at some other dealerships before, I never got those feelings there. Paul Zimmerman and the salesperson explained everything, greeted us and at no time did we feel pressured. Very expensive, for instance to bleed the breaks is $174. Few streets down the road the same service is offered for $40-$80. Customer services not very attentive, even after mentioning the huge difference Few streets down the road the same service is offered for $40-$80. Customer services not very attentive, even after mentioning the huge difference in the price they did not compromise on their price to make the customer more appreciated. The receipt is not itemized; therefore one has no idea where the extra charges came from. There is no coordination between the employees, they told me that the wait will be at least 2 hours and only 10 minutes later (when I was about to leave the lot) the mechanic said it is ready. (This was a recall work that they had to do on the car) As a customer I felt unappreciated and I still feel that they had taken advantage of the situation. I will never go back and I DO NOT recommend this place. More
