Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the issues you have experienced with your vehicle. All of our Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles goes through a thorough 172 point inspection by trained Technicians. The transmission issue you had experienced was of an intermittent nature. Our Technicians test drove the vehicle several times and struggled to verify the concern. Never would we want a guest to feel like you were stupid, there are rare occasions where this happens and we cannot replicate the problem described. Ultimately, we were able identify the issue and repair it. According to our records, it has been 22,000 miles since that repair was complete. We weren’t aware of any issues or problems following the repair until your post online just now. In regards to the issue with your door lock, it has also been 22,000 miles since we replaced the right rear door lock. We are not clear as to if there is another door that is having a problem or if it is the same door. At the time, we did offer to replace whichever lock was not working for a $100 deductible. The retail price to replace a door lock is approximately $300. Our Team always tries to work with our guests to find the best, most affordable option for repairs and always stand behind our work and do give straight answers to problems. In your first case, we couldn’t initially give you a straight answer, like you describe in your feedback, because we couldn’t replicate the problem immediately. Because of the time that has lapsed since those repairs, we were completely unaware of any problems you were having. We would certainly like the opportunity to earn your business again and are available anytime to further discuss your concerns.

They keep saying right rear when it was very much so made clearly it was the left rear door on the driver side. Still can't get it correct even when responding to this review. Get it together George Matick and I hope you all go out of business real soon.

I apologize for what you feel to be an unsatisfactory experience with George Matick Chevrolet. Every day our intention is to make our guests’ experience a great one and I want to make sure you feel good about interactions with our staff and the product(s) we offer. With regard to your concerns, I believe we tried to address them as best we could once they came to our attention. First and foremost, we did ‘believe’ you when you came back with your written estimate from Belle Tire. We just seem to disagree with the diagnosis they gave you. Our GM Certified Technician reviewed the vehicle again, road tested with our service manager, and again found there to be no issue with the strut. We documented the findings with pictures (which we can’t post to this website but can email if you like) and another repair order. The strut is not broken, nor leaking. We disagree with the representation that your mechanic has given you. Additionally, there must have been a miscommunication with regard to our willingness to put the vehicle on a hoist because we’d be more than happy to. My Director on duty that day, along with the salesperson, indicated they both tried to review the issue you were concerned about, on a hoist, but you refused to stay once your offer for a discount was politely declined. With regard to your comment that the GM CPO program doesn’t mean anything to us, it absolutely does. We are the #3 ranked CPO dealer in the State of Michigan and take great pride in the condition of our vehicles, and our customer’s complete satisfaction. Lastly, if you had purchased the car, and your independent mechanic’s diagnosis were correct, you would not have had to “shell out and extra $1100” for any repair. You would’ve been covered by a 1 year, 12,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, including free maintenance for 2 years or 30,000 miles. We care about our guests and you would be covered. We welcome the opportunity to earn your business both now, and any time in the future. We thank you for giving us that opportunity and hope to someday have you in the Matick family like so many others. If you would like to discuss the matter in any more detail, please call me direct at 313-532-2572. Sincerely, Ray Holland Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales & Finance Manager
