A lot of hassle! I recently purchased a 2015 Kia Sorento from George Gee Kia in Coeur d'Alene. Overall, I would not recommend this dealer to anyone! The salesperson, I recently purchased a 2015 Kia Sorento from George Gee Kia in Coeur d'Alene. Overall, I would not recommend this dealer to anyone! The salesperson, Zach, was nice and the car I ended up with is very nice, but that's the end of the positive experience. First, I looked at the available Sorentos on the website and found a 2015 CLEARLY listed as "new" with "2,000 miles". After inquiring about the car, I was told that is was a demo and was considered "new". I was told very specifically and repeatedly that it had several features that I wanted. Since I was out of town, I asked very, very specific questions and was assured by another salesman that the features I wanted were on the vehicle. The next day, I got a call saying that several of the things that I very specifically asked about weren't actually on the vehicle. I decided not to fight about a couple features, but was steadfast on a remote start. They offered to put one in at cost for me (quoted at $800). Then, they offered to split it with me. Finally, after several calls, they agreed to put one on. So, I agreed to go through with the sale. Well, 2 days later, I was told it would be an aftermarket remote start. I have the invoice. It cost $330. Even with a "split" they were going to charge me $400. Also, with an aftermarket remote start and push button ignition, when you walk up and open the remotely started vehicle it shuts off and has to be restarted. Nice. I have excellent credit and knew I would be able to get a very good rate on a loan. I spoke with a loan officer at a credit union that told me a rate. The finance manager who was getting quotes from the same credit union was quoting me over a half percent higher, despite swearing that the dealer does not add anything to the rates. The rate he was quoting me was not even available from the credit union. When I inquired, the finance manager said it was a "mistake" and he had looked at the wrong rate charts. Also, I gave him the name of the credit union rep who he proceeded to disrespect. I don't know if the finance manager was angry that the credit union had quoted me a fair rate and he was caught or it was purely a true mistake, but had I not been paying attention, I would have paid hundreds more over the life of the loan. When I received my paperwork, everything said "used" on it and the mileage was actually closer to 5500. I called to inquire as to why it was advertised as "new" when everything said used (including a sticker in the window that said "certified used" that I didn't see til I took delivery of the car almost 2 weeks after the sale). I was told that because it was a demo car it had never been titled and was therefore, technically "new". When I finally chose to purchase the car, I had someone bring in a check to HOLD the car on the assurance (again, I stressed this repeatedly) that the check not be cashed (as it was not my check, but only a check to hold the car). I was told OVER AND OVER that the check would not be cashed. Well, the NEXT DAY, they cashed it. I was told several times after that it had been voided and shredded. I, of course, was not told it was cashed until almost 3 weeks later when the cashed check showed up on a bank statement. First, they cashed a check they SWORE would not be cashed. Then, even after taking my down payment, they assured me again that the check was not cashed (at the time, I didn't know it had been cashed for over a week). The rather large check they cashed and held for almost 3 weeks was not applied to my sale. How can a business cash such a large check and not apply it to a sale of any kind?! After it came to my attention that the check was cashed (mind you in 1 day), it took them over 2 days to get a new check cut! They absolutely REFUSED to cut one in Cd'A and I was told that they would have to bring it out of Liberty Lake and that would take a couple days. Really?! Terrible customer service. Lastly, when I did get the vehicle, it had been hastily washed at the dealer, was covered in glitter (odd) and cracker crumbs and had a purple ink stain on the back of the rear seats. I really like the Kia Sorento, but will not be buying another car from this dealer. I'm not 100% sure that I ended up with a fair deal or the honest story, but I guess I am wiser and hope that this will help someone else considering this dealer. More

I bought a KIA Forte a year ago and have been having problems since the first month having to replace out of my pocket many different things on the vehicle. Then come to find out my car has had back end issues since the day I bought it and there is nothing any tire place can do to make it so the back end of my car doesn't ware out the tires. I have ruined two sets of tires in just one year because of this problem. The service department of both George Gee Kia dealerships are unprofessional, unwilling to help, and all around negative people. I would NEVER go back. More
Got a new family car, didnt expect it to have so many issues So I do have to say that we didn't do a very thorough inspection ourselves of this vehicle, so I know a lot of this is more frustration than anything. They seemed polite and helpful. We drove off, I have had to contact them 4-5 times regarding issues with this vehicle that were never brought up when we purchased it. Each time they pretty much stated that it was on us. I get it, I know we should have looked it over more, but some of the issues are safety related!! Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend them because the service after purchase has been less than satisfactory. More

Going back to the day of purchase the xx engine lite was on and I was told it was due to an aftermarket part.. So they towed it to their shop to fix it, this is saturday 9-14-13 I was called later to tell me the truck wouldn't be done due to tech went home early(poor customer service) Monday rolls around and the tech is now sick, so by wed they call and tell me the heads(2) have to come off due to broken glow plug it will be friday when done(1 week after purchase) friday nite comes they are just getting done and what to know if I want to pick it up, I asked has it been driven, no is the answer you would thing after all that they would drive it. So I pick it up saturday morning it has only 18 miles on since work and that was put on by the salesman not a tech. I talked to James the service writer and he told me all 8 glow plugs were replaced along with the injectors so I asked for the work order for my records, I notice only 1 injector was replaced and at the bottom of the work order it states the truck was test driven and codes cleared. When I picked up the truck the xx engine lite is on and their claim is an aftermarket part, not TRUE. I took it to a shop only to find out the MAF (mass air flow) sensor is bad along with an EGR code which is due to a bad vacuum pump, it also has a leaking rear axle seal.. I called George Gee and they said the truck sold as is they are not fixing anything. Well when I bought the truck it had a Certified sticker in window and their claim is that was a mistake. They lied about everything. Save yourself the trouble and do not buy here More
I've been bringing my 2011 Kia Sorento to George Gee for service since I bought it. I've had nothing but EXCELLENT service here and highly recommend their service dept! I'm just sorry I didn't buy my for service since I bought it. I've had nothing but EXCELLENT service here and highly recommend their service dept! I live in Montana and wanted to purchase a KIA. Working over the phone and my mobile we were able to get a deal done in one day. What an amazing thing. I had a touchy issue with my warranty and he helped greatly in making sure the vehicle was covered and repaired. I appr for his dealings with my Kia.
