Quoted 175 for a key but was charged 280. MORALLY WRONG I called multiple times and each time I got a quote of 175 plus tax. NO MENTION of any other possible charge. That price should have been honored. The estimate I signed said 175. The service person said there was not as much labor (that saved 30 minutes of labor) but Volvo charged for the software. The 175 should have been honored since....it was not authorized, AFTER that, future quotes to customers should be 280.00, But to do that to a customer is fundamentally and ethically not right or fair. VERY DISAPPOINTED. More
My first Volvo and had a great experience. All was explained and felt comfortable in my decisions. I test drove on a Wed and was delivered my new car on Sat. Wil and had a great experience. dishonesty is short term thinking... brought my 2015.5 Volvo XC 70 for 20,000 mile service to this Volvo dealership. I purchased the car there 14 month ago brand new. During the service t brought my 2015.5 Volvo XC 70 for 20,000 mile service to this Volvo dealership. I purchased the car there 14 month ago brand new. During the service the dealer called me to let me know that the tire alignment is off and they would also suggest a tire rotation which would not be covered anymore by Volvo's free 5 year service coverage. So that would be an extra charge of $240. Tire alignment after only 19,500 miles seemed strange so I declined both, alignment and tire rotation. Next day I stopped at a MONRO shop and asked them to check out the need for a tire rotation and alignment. They confirmed to me that there is no need for a tire rotation as the tires are worn equally and the alignment would be just fine. No problem at all. Very disappointing. Volvo gives a 5 year warranty but this dealership tries to make some $$$ on the side by suggesting repairs, which are not covered by the warranty and which are not needed. I own 2 Volvo's and I'm very loyal to the brand. But this dealership just lost a customer.... More

The sales person we dealt with, Mike Malchevsky, was persistent in looking for the car we wanted to buy and impressed us a knowledgeable about the car when did our test drive. The dealership made sure we were aware of options like extended warranties but didn't pressure us to accept them. Overall, it was a positive experience and I would go back to this dealership in the future. More

Gengras Volvo in Meriden certainly has the right to refer to themselves as a "customer-centered care" organization. My wife and I are retired, so that gives you some idea that we've purchased a bunch of cars in the past. Never have we had such a pleasant and pleasurable time when purchasing an automobile. Jolanda Westerlund was our sales executive, and is an outstanding representative for Gengras Volvo Meriden. This was our first experience with Gengras having purchased other Volvos elsewhere in Connecticut. The entire experience was outstanding, which is especially attributed to Jolanda. She is highly knowledgeable and professional with a courteous and friendly personality. She was truly interested in our needs and wants; she was attentive and connected with us in a friendly manner. It's obvious to us that she is dedicated to provide "customer-centered care." Our entire experience with all personnel was cordial and highly satisfying, including our time with Max Deselin who had us filling out the numerous required forms (and took our check). Everyone was respectful with the result being a highly satisfying experience. More
