I bought a 2022 Genesis GV70 from Genesis of West Knoxville October 2021. The salesman was great but the service in the service department has been terrible. Service is complimentary if done within a Knoxville October 2021. The salesman was great but the service in the service department has been terrible. Service is complimentary if done within a certain mileage window. Making an appointment so that I’m within that window is impossible. Appointments need to be made 2-3 weeks in advance. By then I’m over the mileage limit. They’ve had my car now for 2 months because of a wreck I was in. One time I called to ask about the VIRTUAL inspection that insurance did and the girl in the body shop office told me that I didn’t know how “this” worked. I’ve talked to the general manager about the poor service and nothing has changed. Today they finally looked into my car further and still have no idea when it will be fixed. I was told to be patient. The problem is poor communication. The only time I learn anything about the progress on my car is when I call them. I bought the extra warranty to cover tires and such and had to argue with them to get a tire fixed because the car wash broke of the valve stem. I bought a luxury car from them and I’m treated like I brought in a beater car for them to fix. I’ve bought 4 Hyundai products and this one is probably the last because of the customer service from the service department. More
Genesis Owners Beware. I own a 2021 GV80 Prestige and a 2022 GV70 Prestige. Love both vehicles. They were not purchased at this dealership. We happen to live 5 minutes from I own a 2021 GV80 Prestige and a 2022 GV70 Prestige. Love both vehicles. They were not purchased at this dealership. We happen to live 5 minutes from Grayson Hyundai and have been here for service twice. Both times have yielded a bad customer experience. Maybe our expectations are high because we paid over $120K for luxury SUVs that come with a concierge service? But why shouldn’t they be? The experience here is that they do not have trained staff in the service department to assist Genesis owners. It’s been my experience that you have to wait for the one experienced person to help you as the other available service technicians assist Hyundai and Subaru owners that come in. I am really bummed that this turned out to be the experience and recognize that this may not be the norm, just isolated to this particular dealership. I can only hope this review brings light to the customer satisfaction issues and it gets addressed by the owner. Note: A guy named Steve took the brunt of my frustration. He ended up providing me good service in the end. More
