After leaving the lot 2 things stuck out: 1) car had a leaking front tire which was patched after I complained - but I still have to fill it up every week. 2) Noticed a door cosmetic defect so I came back leaking front tire which was patched after I complained - but I still have to fill it up every week. 2) Noticed a door cosmetic defect so I came back & they painted sloppily and it's rusting already. Next time I buy a certified pre-owned I will have to look it over more thoroughly in natural sunlight and pay attention when the tire pressure is 20 during the test drive but 35 when I pick it up 4 hours later. We purchased a 2017 Hyundai Tucson Eco/ Sport from Boucher Hyundai in October of 2020. The Tucson had just come out of lease, was 'certified' by Boucher, and had 17,000 original miles. ( Boucher Hyund Boucher Hyundai in October of 2020. The Tucson had just come out of lease, was 'certified' by Boucher, and had 17,000 original miles. ( Boucher Hyundai had serviced this vehicle throughout its lease.) Over the next six months, we put on 15,000 miles. Pursuant to factory requirement, Boucher serviced the Tucson twice; at 23,032 miles and 28,543 miles, changing the oil both times. At 32,473 miles, the "timing chain" failed, along with associated parts. The SUV was laid up for 16 days (undriveable) awaiting parts from Hyundai, who was now the payer of extensive warranty work. Boucher provided a loaner car for the last 7 days before all the repairs were completed. Hyundai also picked up that tab. The Tucson appears to be running okay now, except for the fact that it is currently under Boucher's watchful eye, as they have initiated an oil consumption test. (the vehicle appears to be consuming oil at a rapid rate but is not dripping or leaking.) Every 1,000 miles, the SUV is returned to Boucher for inspection and recording of any additional oil that is needed. Service Advisor Andrew BARTOLOTTA has patiently explained (in somewhat layman's terms) all of the repairs that Boucher has performed. His professionalism and 'genuine' personality have provided us the reassurance that all the work being performed, is being done to the best of Boucher's ability. More
