We live 2 hours away and where on the phone all morning getting the exact price for a car. Once we were able to get the amount, because they wanted a cashier check to purchase the car we started the 2 hour getting the exact price for a car. Once we were able to get the amount, because they wanted a cashier check to purchase the car we started the 2 hour drive to the dealership. 1 1/2 hours into trip we were called and told they sold car to someone else. We were told "first come first served ". Great customer service, I say not! They offer to pay for our gas. Wow, I wonder if Mr Napleton would have treated his customers the same way 90 years ago??? This would never happen at a true family owned dealership! More
I called to set up an appointment a day ahead of time to look at a used truck that was exactly what I wanted. I explained multiple times that I was taking a day off work and getting up at 5:30am to drive fr look at a used truck that was exactly what I wanted. I explained multiple times that I was taking a day off work and getting up at 5:30am to drive from Kansas City to St Louis to look at this truck, and called as soon as the dealership was open to verify the truck's availability and that my appointment was all set since I was driving 3.5 hours. I was assured that the truck was still available and my appointment was confirmed. Upon arrival I was told someone else would be test driving the truck before me, and later learned from someone in business development that oversees all this dealership's locations that the other appointment had been set up for 1 minute before mine. They made sure to let me test drive it immediately after the other person's test drive was complete, essentially playing me against the other potential buyer to affect the negotiation, and sure enough, the truck was sold as soon as my test drive was complete. The salesman, Ameer, was very polite and apologized for how things went, but the manager scoffed at me when I told him I had driven 3.5 hours only to have the truck sold right out from under me. He said it's first come first serve, so if you make an appointment to test drive a vehicle, understand it means absolutely nothing unless you're on the lot. The manager's solution for me? He offered to have someone go get a different model truck with more miles on it from a sister dealership. While waiting on that, the salesman informed me that someone else was trying to buy that truck, so we needed to both drive there as soon as possible if I wanted a chance to purchase it. I laughed, explained that selling a truck out from someone else shouldn't be the solution offered for doing the same to me 15 minutes earlier. But it was clear this is how this dealership operates on a daily basis, especially considering the complete lack of apology from the sales manager for having a truck sold out from under me after a 3.5 hour drive. I get that low inventory is complicating the truck-buying process right now, and throwing out all common decency and respect for customers might work in the short term, but I hope something changes so that others don't experience the same frustration I did. I appreciated the phone call from someone in a corporate business development office, but have little faith that anything will change with this dealership and any others under the same ownership. Salesperson jon scruggs was easy and delightful to work with and management was straightforward. Some minor blemishes on car could have been fixed before sale with and management was straightforward. Some minor blemishes on car could have been fixed before sale More

Visited this dealership for buying new Hyundai Elantra as this was the only dealership in town with the in-stock Elantra. The first one was blue colored 2021. It took 25 minutes for sales man to find the car this was the only dealership in town with the in-stock Elantra. The first one was blue colored 2021. It took 25 minutes for sales man to find the car keys and eventually told us that car was already "sold" and he will try to find keys for another one. Finally he found keys for first (blue) and once we got to the car for test drive, lo and behold, its a service loaner with 6000 miles and lots of dust/grit on it, both interior and exterior. So the sales man is nice enough to go on the hunt for 2nd Elantra keys, finds them, we go for test drive, come back, want to buy the car, at which point, the sales manager comes in and tells us he will take it from there. He brings in a printed sheet of paper which has all the prices and addendums listed. ( mind you, there was no mention of addendums on the website price or on the phone call conversation or any conversation up until now with the first sales man). Sticker price , MSRP was 23K and supposedly per website they were selling this car for sticker price. The addendums are like 7K or so above sticker price. They also had transportation/freight charges add on as 1K which actually already were included in sticker price of 23K. Once I pointed that out, they did take out that charge which brought total addendums to 6K. One of the addendums was market adjustment of around 2500K or so. The final price after negotiation was still 3k or so above sticker as certain addendums were "mandatory". At that point after wasting 2 or so of our hours, we left the dealership. Both sales manager and original sales person were nice folks, it would have been much better if they were upfront with us from the start regarding car prices and one of the cars being loaner. Based on overall experience of this "Click Bait" approach, I wouldn't recommend others to go to this dealership for sales. More
