After a month, I visited Mungenast Hyundai and met Charlie Sutton, he was the best seller I have ever met. He was so kind and polite. I gave him the price I wanted and he did not hesitate to ask his manager and helped me to get a 2013 Veloster (WOW). The price I paid for this car was much cheaper than I was offered in Dean Team (it was 2012 Veloster). First time when I read the ratings, I did not believe them because the ratings were so good and no one had any bad experience from Mungenast. BUT all of them were true and I STRONGLY recommend this dealership. PLEASE DO NOT GO ANY OTHER PLACES, it will be wasting your time to go somewhere else. Just go to Mungenast and ask Charlie, he will do anything for you. More

I purchased a used Toyota truck from Mungenast Hyundai. It had about 70,000 miles on it. I purchased an extended warranty, and told the financial guy: "I don't care about the cost, give the top of the lin It had about 70,000 miles on it. He gave me the top package, but didn't add the "Seals and Gaskets" option, which would have only raised the price by a few dollars. Well, the truck had been severely overheated sometime by the previous owner. This warped both heads and the block and caused a head gasket leak, and therefore a misfire in that cylinder. If the financial guy had included the "Seals and Gaskets" option, the warranty would have covered it and replaced the whole engine at that time, as the block was warped as well. However, I paid $3000 out of pocket for a new head and all of that labor. The work was done at the Mungenast Toyota dealership in Alton, IL. The service manager told me to my face that they had rebuilt the other head, since they had it off anyway. However, they did not include that information on the bill anywhere, so there was no proof that they had touched the other head. By the way, they had the truck for 47 days. Less than 4000 miles later, that rebuilt head dropped a valve and destroyed the block (and head). Since they neglected to put the information regarding the rebuild on the paperwork, the warranty company at that time covered the cost of replacing the entire engine. Therefore, Mungenast didn't have to pay the $10,000 dollars for the new engine. The bigger problem with this is the fact that I was an hour from Tulsa, OK with my 80-year-old father, on our way to his sister's funeral, in July of this year, when it was 110 degrees. We had to pay for a rental car for an entire month while the dealership in Tulsa replaced the engine, then we had to drive back down to Tulsa to pick it up. By the way, the Toyota dealership in Tulsa was phenomenally awesome. Great customer care, great communication, high quality work. Do not use the Mungenast family of dealerships for anything. I will never trust them again. I wouldn't even trust them to air up my tires. I wouldn't even trust them to wash my car. STAY AWAY from any and all MUNGENAST dealers, unless you want to pay inflated prices for substandard work. More

About three months ago I started searching for a Hyundai Sonata GLS with manual transmission in the St Louis area. I was living in Hawaii at the time, but was moving to southern IL by early July. In my requests, I told the dealers I hated the "game" of car buying and I just wanted the price they could sell the car for. Only Mungenest came thru with a reasonable price given the fact I was buying the car sight unseen and without a test drive. Long story short, Charlie Sutton and Eric Krumm came up with the price and car buying experience I required. My family got a wonderful car for a very competative price. After returning to the St Louis area in early July, we popped over to Mungenast Hyundai and the boys quickly wrapped up the deal. We were in and out of the dealer in less than an hour. Perfect! We started buying new Hyundai cars in 2003, and given what we've experienced with this Sonata so far, we'll be buying more in the future. A very good buying experience. I stopped by to start looking because I had purchased from another Mungenast dealership before and had been pleased. I drove a new Santa Fe off the lot two days later. I would highly recommend Mungenast Hyundai for anyone searching for a new car. I came to Mungenast after attempting a sale deal with another dealership. I was not planning to buy a car the day I went to look at Mungenast's inventory, however, Kelly and her manager were EXTREMELY open to prices and deals that I walked out with a brand new Elantra. I cannot say enough about how friendly the entire team was. I also want to point out that Kelly was extremely effective when communicating about the price and explaining the entire purchase process. The price I ended up paying for my new Elantra was much lower than I expected it to be(or thought I could get). They gave me well over what I expected for my trade-in and were very, very eager to help sell the car for the price that was reasonable for both myself and them. At 24 years old, fresh out of school, Kelly (and her manager) made the entire car purchasing process enjoyable. I got a great deal because Mungenast was committed to making the customer happy.
