The service dept was absolutely terrible to work with. Bought a used Optima in October, had to get it towed back to the dealership when it broke down less than a month later. No matter who you talk to, if they say they will call you back, they don't. If you leave a voicemail no one calls you back. No one knows any answers, they always have to talk to someone else who isnt there that day. It took them 5 weeks & countless phone calls with Vinnie, Malaika, Anthony and Chris just for them to tell me that the warranty I bought from them requires me to call Kia directly for a refund. How did no one in the service department of a Kia dealership know how the Kia warranty works? It should have taken 1 phone call & 5 minutes to get that answer. BTW, don't believe any 5 star reviews you read. The service dept offers a chance to win a gift card if you write a good review. Maybe they wouldn't have to bribe customers to leave good reviews if they just provided half way decent service. More
I bought a 2017 Kia Sportage from Generation Kia in March 2016. I have been going there for service 2-3x per yr since then, if not more. In Sept 2022, I came in for an oil change and maintenance work and sho 2016. I have been going there for service 2-3x per yr since then, if not more. In Sept 2022, I came in for an oil change and maintenance work and showed Malaika from the service dept where the paint was chipping on the plastic parts (mirrors/door handles) for no apparent reason as I had no accidents or anything that would cause that. She took pictures and said she would send it to Kia Corporate. Finally 5 weeks later, after I left messages for her and her boss Chris requesting updates but got no callbacks, Malaika called me. She said it was over the 3 yr warranty so Corp denied it, but without me saying a word, she pleasantly surprised me saying Generation Kia would goodwill it and pay for everything as I am such a good long-term customer. Well, more time goes by and I heard crickets, she answered no calls so in early November 2022, I drove to the dealership and was told by Malaika to sit tight, it was just a matter of time and even said they would provide a free loaner car! In late November, I called again and spoke with Anthony in the service dept and was told Malaika was fired and that she lied to me and Generation Kia would not cover it. He gave me the Corp # so I could beg them to help me but warned me not to mention the web of lies from Malaika as I will definitely be denied. I called one night, on hold 1 hr before I hung up. Next morning, on hold over 20 mins until I hung up. I don't have time for this BS so I emailed Anthony that I will just get it done myself as I have wasted nearly 3 mos and that I'm a former customer. He offered to give me autobody shop suggestions but I didn't answer, I can find my own autobody shop. My issue is I get Malaika was a problem and the dealership finally fired her, but any organization is only as good as it's products and employees. They hired her and she was representing them while there. I don't think Generation Kia did enough or really anything to right the wrong (my time, aggravation, etc) that Malaika did even though I was a loyal, steady customer. I would have been cool with this if Malaika had been honest, but the dealership should have made up for the fact that she wasn't. More

There was no discussion about the car, they only took my details and gave me no chance for questions. 100% Recommend . I purchased my car here 3 years . When I take it in for service they are really great. Every oil change I am there about an hour and the staff is fr I purchased my car here 3 years . My last visit I dealt with Michelle, could not have been more satisfied. She was friendly and explained everything in detail. She walked me to my car asked if I had any questions. SHE WAS WONDERFUL. This service dept. is really amazing. More
