I purchased my 2014 Santa Fe sport a little over 7 months ago while I was employed with Lithia Hyundai of Odessa tx105 it had received a new engine under warranty following applicable tsbs due to engine knoc ago while I was employed with Lithia Hyundai of Odessa tx105 it had received a new engine under warranty following applicable tsbs due to engine knocking prior to me purchasing the vehicle and I’ve approximately put 4,000 miles on the vehicle/warranty engine and I started having issues and hearing a popping/tapping noise with no check engine light contacted Lithia Hyundai of Odessa and they will not service the vehicle due to me changing career paths and not being an employee with them so I contacted gene messer Hyundai tx090 and they agreed to diagnose vehicle and they got it diagnosed and said that the flex plate was bent and recommended replacement of flex plate to solve popping noise and I proceeded to ask the service advisor if that for sure would solve the issue and he assured me it would so I agreed to proceed with the repair and received the quote that my vehicle was ready and the total was 1835.66 and I called and asked them if the repair fixed the issue and they assured me it did and no longer pops and that was an outright lie I paid the invoice just to discover the vehicle is the exact same as the day it was dropped off I’m extremely disappointed I paid almost 2000 dollars to fix my vehicle and it is not fixed I’ve only owned this vehicle 7 months and put 4,000 miles and gene messer Hyundai is telling me it needs another new engine and it’s going to be 12,000 dollars this is absolutely ridiculous and no one is helping me not even the Lithia Hyundai of Odessa that the vehicle was purchased from 7 months ago I’m extremely frustrated and this has to be resolved because at this point I’ve purchased a vehicle with a new engine from Hyundai and vehicle is having issues and I’m being told I have to pay for it It honestly seems like I was sold a “lemon” and nobody wants anything to do with it More
