Good Costco used car buying experience I was searching for a USED minivan 3 to 5 years old. I am an avid Costco member and so I used the Costco Auto Program which directed me to Gateway To I was searching for a USED minivan 3 to 5 years old. I am an avid Costco member and so I used the Costco Auto Program which directed me to Gateway Toyota. I then went on to Gateway's website and narrowed my choice to two possibilities (they have an extensive inventory). Gateway had sent me an email, so i called them and I made an appointment for the next day. I met Chris Etzel who listened to what i was looking for, I told him that i had a few target cars, and he took me out to see them and did a test drive. I selected a 2015 Sienna for about $21,000. He then asked me if i wanted to lease or finance, and he talked to his finance guy to get the numbers which took a little while, but to be fair they offered me several choices. I ended up just writing a check to keep it simple. The Costco program for used cars is simple - $500 off the lowest advertised "e-price". Maybe I could get to same place or even better by negotiating, but it takes that hassle off the table. I also traded in my 2004 Quest - Gateway offered $750 which I took; the "Cars for Cash" guy down the street had offered to "take it off my hands" for $0, so this was $750 better. The trade-in assessment was very quick. Gateway charged a $419 documentation fee which I did thing was very steep. So overall, I walked in the door at 10:30 am and I drove away at 145pm with the used Sienna. Chris Etzel was a very good guy - good knowledge of the Sienna, pleasant guy, very helpful, no BS. I definitely recommend him. More

First, I dealt with the online rep, Joanne Mcarthey. She was amazing. She always called me back, answered all my questions, had infinite patience, great product knowledge in short was a pleasure to work with. That was online, in person she was awesome. This was a great experience, I can not recommend more. The pictures on line were accurate. The car was exactly as advertised. This car was in great condition, the price was the best I found. I wanted an additional item and the service department took care if it, and Joanne did not charge me. I highly recommend this dealership, if you buy from gateway, you won't go wrong.
