Car buying experience My wife & I when over to Gateway just to look at new Subarus. I had a Baja since 2003 and love my vehicle . In the past 12 years I have heard nothing My wife & I when over to Gateway just to look at new Subarus. I had a Baja since 2003 and love my vehicle . In the past 12 years I have heard nothing but praise for Subaru cars. The only complaints have been for very.little and minor problems. The salesman, Jim Porter, who helped and worked with us was very courteous, knowledge & helpful . Although it was obvious that Jim was under the weather, he constantly kept apologizing to us, for coughing & an losing his voice. He was so helpful. Our day at Gateway Subaru was very enjoyable. We left in a brand new Forester, and several.new friends, especially Jim Porter. More

And of course Renee Ennis in Finance who worked very, very, very diligently to get me approved since my credit score was not all that great and now I can build my credit up once again for the next three years thank you especially Renee Ennis she was excellent as well aimed to please great staff and also Wendy Schiavone explained things about new car when I went to test drive and especially Alexea Hudson evening receptionist very friendly polite just like others excellent and taking time and offering coffee and you could even bring your pet in while shopping for car. Happy with my first Subaru!! I was a Ford guy for 16 years, and there is nothing wrong with Ford, I just wanted a change. Reliability, safety, and fuel economy is what made me wa I was a Ford guy for 16 years, and there is nothing wrong with Ford, I just wanted a change. Reliability, safety, and fuel economy is what made me want to investigate Subaru. I can't say enough about the Sales staff at Gateway Subaru in Delmar. I live over an hour away, so I began an email conversation with Jim Porter. He answered all of my questions quickly, and in a professional and friendly manner. He is very knowledgeable about the product. After about a month of questions, I had a free afternoon, and on short notice, arranged for a test drive. He patiently allowed me to test drive a 2016 Forester, Outback, and an older Crosstrek (they had 2016s enroute from the factory)...all in one afternoon. I narrowed my choice to the Outback and Crosstrek, and went home that night to crunch numbers and think about it. Almost two weeks went by, and Jim was awesome...no pressure to buy, and still answered my questions and provided prices at my request. Then, just before Christmas, Jim emails me a video he made of the Hyper Blue 2016 fully loaded Crosstrek I had been "stalking" online...it had just been delivered to the dealership ahead of schedule...I was in love, and closed the deal the next day!! I chose the Crosstrek over the Outback because of my budget and what I wanted in a vehicle. I LOVED the Outback, but could afford a basic model, whereas the almost fully loaded (leather interior!!) Crosstrek fit my budget. Jim took the time to go over every detail of the Crosstrek with me upon delivery, and made sure I was completely satisfied...and worked with me until 930pm to complete the process! I had a great, low pressure, sales experience at Gateway, and would recommend Jim Porter as Sales Consultant. Everyone at the dealership was pleasant, and GM Wendy Schiavone took the time to meet and make us feel welcome. I can't say enough good things about Gateway! More

I originally went to the dealership to purchase a replacement sedan. I ended up buying a Subaru Forrester, which I LOVE! I can't thank everyone who worked with me from sales, to finance. Even Wendy from management sat and talked with me while the finance department worked to get me the payment I was looking for. I trust the folks here and will definitely do business with them again! Best dealership experience I've had! I went to Gateway Subaru to find a vehicle for my wife but decided to get a 2016 Forester for myself as well. We both worked with Kevin Miller who was extremely helpful and patient throughout the sales cycle. It took over two months for us to finally decide which vehicles we wanted and there was never a moment where my wife and I felt pressured to make a decision or go with a vehicle that was immediately available. Kevin, with the help of the other support staff at Gateway, took the time to track down the particular Forester XT I wanted without any hassle. So my wife and I both received the cars we wanted with our preferred color and options. We are very happy!! Also finalizing the paperwork was a breeze. I laughed with Wendy and Renee through most of the process as the paperwork can normally be a real pain but they made it fun. I also want to give a special thanks to Kyle Hutchins for making that test drive a reality; appreciate it! More
