Happy with my first Subaru!! I was a Ford guy for 16 years, and there is nothing wrong with Ford, I just wanted a change. Reliability, safety, and fuel economy is what made me want to investigate Subaru. I can't say enough about the Sales staff at Gateway Subaru in Delmar. I live over an hour away, so I began an email conversation with Jim Porter. He answered all of my questions quickly, and in a professional and friendly manner. He is very knowledgeable about the product. After about a month of questions, I had a free afternoon, and on short notice, arranged for a test drive. He patiently allowed me to test drive a 2016 Forester, Outback, and an older Crosstrek (they had 2016s enroute from the factory)...all in one afternoon. I narrowed my choice to the Outback and Crosstrek, and went home that night to crunch numbers and think about it. Almost two weeks went by, and Jim was awesome...no pressure to buy, and still answered my questions and provided prices at my request. Then, just before Christmas, Jim emails me a video he made of the Hyper Blue 2016 fully loaded Crosstrek I had been "stalking" online...it had just been delivered to the dealership ahead of schedule...I was in love, and closed the deal the next day!! I chose the Crosstrek over the Outback because of my budget and what I wanted in a vehicle. I LOVED the Outback, but could afford a basic model, whereas the almost fully loaded (leather interior!!) Crosstrek fit my budget. Jim took the time to go over every detail of the Crosstrek with me upon delivery, and made sure I was completely satisfied...and worked with me until 930pm to complete the process! I had a great, low pressure, sales experience at Gateway, and would recommend Jim Porter as Sales Consultant. Everyone at the dealership was pleasant, and GM Wendy Schiavone took the time to meet and make us feel welcome. I can't say enough good things about Gateway! More

I originally went to the dealership to purchase a replacement sedan. I ended up buying a Subaru Forrester, which I LOVE! I can't thank everyone who worked with me from sales, to finance. Best dealership experience I've had! I went to Gateway Subaru to find a vehicle for my wife but decided to get a 2016 Forester for myself as well. We both worked with Kevin Miller who was extremely helpful and patient throughout the sales cycle. It took over two months for us to finally decide which vehicles we wanted and there was never a moment where my wife and I felt pressured to make a decision or go with a vehicle that was immediately available. Kevin, with the help of the other support staff at Gateway, took the time to track down the particular Forester XT I wanted without any hassle. So my wife and I both received the cars we wanted with our preferred color and options. We are very happy!! Also finalizing the paperwork was a breeze. I laughed with Wendy and Renee through most of the process as the paperwork can normally be a real pain but they made it fun. I also want to give a special thanks to Kyle Hutchins for making that test drive a reality; appreciate it! More

Amazing!! I had been wanting to trade in my SUV for some time now, however my husband had a few requirements in order for me to even think about. Most important to him was the safety of the vehicle, then the price point and finally the ease of doing business with the dealership. We hadn't considered a Subaru during our initial talks about a new car. I had never even looked into them online. However on a trip to Vermont in the fall, we found that Subaru is "THE" car of that area. It seemed as though everyone drove one, and considering the very long and snowy winter they had we were a little surprised to say the least. After our trip north, we actually starting investigating the Subaru and the different models they offer. We were pleasantly surprised with the price point being as reasonable as it was, also the safety rating really was what sold it for us in terms of taking the next step. Luckily for us Gateway Subaru is nearby, and we casually stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to take a look at the Crosstrek. This model for me had all the components I was looking for, as well as a price point that we were comfortable with. Kevin Miller met with us that afternoon, we told him we were just beginning to look into a new car and that we weren't actually looking to move forward until the new year. PS this was October when we first stopped in. Kevin showed us all the great things about the 2015 Crosstrek, but also informed us of the newer technology that would be coming with the 2016 version. He was very patient answering my questions and took down all of our information so that when he had a new model on the lot, we could come by and take a look at it. Over the two month time frame we had initially come by, Kevin was great about keeping us in the loop with the new inventory available. We stopped by to see the new model, he answered more questions for us, and really helped us with our process. Finally a week before Christmas we had decided we were ready to make the leap and get into the new car. Kevin and the entire staff at Gateway went above and beyond to help us make our choice, get the paperwork started and find the car I had been dreaming of. They all worked diligently to find my very particular "wants" in my new Crosstrek and we got to bring it home yesterday!! I can't recommend the Gateway Subaru staff enough. Everything from start to finish was amazing. I'm a very happy member of the Subaru family. More

Awesome experience!! I was in the market for a used vehicle while on a tight budget. I found a nice mini van with low mileage at Gateway Subaru and immediately sent an ema I was in the market for a used vehicle while on a tight budget. I found a nice mini van with low mileage at Gateway Subaru and immediately sent an email. Within minutes Zach responded. He was courteous and seemed to truly understand my situation. After a few days and a few chats with his manager (Wendy) he was able to bring the van down to an affordable price for me I then scheduled my test drive and was blown away by the customer service I received from both Zach and Wendy. I was not there buying an expensive new vehicle but they treated me with the same respect and acted as though me getting my used mini van meant just as much to them. The mini van at Gateway Subaru was less expensive with less mileage than others I checked in Salisbury and I appreciate them sticking to my price after another customer offered full asking price ($1500 more) before I had signed the papers. All in all it was a great experience. I was anxious going into the process but couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Thank you so much Zach and Wendy!! More

Very laid back and seemed to care for our satisfaction over just making a sale. The whole process took nearly no time, including the credit approval and all the paperwork. I've purchased 2 new vehicles myself and those experiences weren't nearly as simple and easy as Gateway made it. Zach got us a great deal on the car and made us very happy. Renee and Wendy handled my paperwork and were also a pleasure to deal with. I'd recommend anybody looking for a new Subaru or a quality pre-owned vehicle to go straight to Gateway.
