Not the best experience. Purchased 83 GMC Jimmy from Houston location March 2018. The good; Frame, body, and drivetrain were solid and that ends the good. I realize this compa Purchased 83 GMC Jimmy from Houston location March 2018. The good; Frame, body, and drivetrain were solid and that ends the good. I realize this company is a consignment deal but you would think they would have someone verify what the owner has....My frustration began as soon as vehicle was dropped off trailer. As soon as i opened the door the door speaker fell on the ground...an omen for things to come. The vehicle would not run, had to poor fuel in bowl to get it to start and it just gets worse from there. The carb was junk, the fuel system was an absolute joke. Had to have been put it by a complete idiot. Had an electric fuel pump (one of many things not mentioned in description of vehicle.) Pump was wedged upside down in frame rail with nothing holding it except the fuel lines. Had no filter at all and the regulator was inoperable. After repairing and spending $$$ and time to correct only to find carb was shot and flooded fuel all over the top of engine and filled two cylinders with fuel....more $$$. It had 3 broken wheel studs( not mentioned). Ac did not work...said it did in description. Radio did not work, found masking tape used to hold wires together. Had to basically rewire entire dash as many of gauges did not work either. Found many hot leads just hanging behind dash. Had to rewire hot lead to starter and hot leads leaving starter to fuse block as well...Amazing this thing didnt catch fire. It leaked oil drom numerous places mostly because it didnt have the necessary number breathers to relieve pressure that a 454 needs. Dip stick for engine oil was just hanging too which of course it leaked from insertion point on pan. Oil cooler was not tied down and held on by a piece of wire. Drivers seat was held in with one bolt...you bounced all over the place while driving down the road. A complete xxxxxxx owned this thing and the only positive is they no longer own it to destroy it any further. All of these issues would have been found in a hot minute by anyone thats been around a vehicle before and none, not a single one was mentioned or shown in pictures. The only issue mentioned was a cracked window on the hardtop and thats it. I have spent 3 months and $$$$$$$$ getting this thing driveable. Incredibly frustrated with this company as it is clear they just want to sell and will tell lies and half truths to do so. The purchasing experience was relatively easy and hassle free of course as they knew they had a lunker on the line. I did however have to prompt for status of where we were at in the process. Never ever again...bye gateway. More

With the exception of an unforseeable roadside water pump repair, the trip went well. Both Tim and Dennis were professional and helpful in my purchase. This being primarily a consignment shop I understand that the owners of some of these vehicles will try to hide issues with their cars, but Gateway did their best to represent the car in an accurate manner. I would buy and sell with them again. More

I have not purchased one yet as I have not found “the One”, but I have worked with Jeff McAdams and Kenny Kahl multiple times. Both of these young men are very helpful, professional and courteous. They always make me feel at home and I will definitely be back to browse and possibly purchase a vehicle soon. More

Purchased a 1967 Rambler Rouge in Feb from Louisville in Feb and they held it until April. When I received it I could hear a hum in the transmission. Had it checked out at the shop that does work on my other cars. Found out who had rebuilt the transmission had must have cut the first gear off the spline. Cannot find a replacement so I had to purchase a new tranny. E-mailed about my complaint and never got a reply. All you had to was drive the vehicle and you could hear it was damaged goods. More

You will have to make repeated calls to Orlando to find out the status of your consignment. They never call back even if they promise. The new guy Kevin always answers the phone however, being new he doesn't know the status of you vehicle. So he takes your name and number and you do not hear from one of the established staff. One of their favorite excuses is we have been to busy. Really I don't give a crap busy or not call back. If Kevin is not trained then train him or don't have him answer the phone. I don't know if there is a training class for customer service but if not, it is very necessary when Kevin is trying to help you hear laughter and xxxxxxxxx going on in the background. More
Horrible company policy, Went to Houston location to buy a car I saw on web site, looked car over, liked what I saw, asked to drive it and was told I would have to make a deal Went to Houston location to buy a car I saw on web site, looked car over, liked what I saw, asked to drive it and was told I would have to make a deal on it first, put up a deposit and then I could drive it, no way would I buy any car without test drive, I drove 3-hours to get there, had insurance arranged for the car and cash money to pay for it and was told I couldn't drive it without buying it first. Very bad business in my opinion, would never recommend them, buyers beware. Don't buy based on their pictures and stories. It will cost you dearly More

I am having to wait to bring it home to fix my car that ther employees broke. Their reason for not giving my car back was because they needed the inventory to look good on their website. But they can continue to damage my car even further unless I pay them double their commission. More
