Nic did not pressure me at any stage and I felt empowered to make my own decision about this purchase. The car was shipped safely from Chicago to Houston, and I was provided additional photographs showing the car just prior to loading in Chicago. Beware when asked to click on their Financing link. You will reach Classic Car Lending. One would assume that they are the lender, however you will be required to pay a $525 service fee. I PAID $1,000 AND TWO DAYS LATER, CIRCUMSTANCES NECESSITATED THAT I TERMINATE THE PURCHASE. GATEWAY CLASSIC CARS CORPORATE OFFICE REFUSED TO RETURN MY DEPOSIT. WITHIN TWO DAYS, THE COMPANY PROFITED $1,000 TO HOLD A VEHICLE, WHICH HAD BEEN IN THEIR POSSESSION FOR OVER ONE YEAR. WHAT AN HONORABLE WAY FOR A HUGE COMPANY TO SUCK HARD EARNED WAGES FROM A PROSPECTIVE BUYER AND POTENTIAL FUTURE CUSTOMER. I ONLY WISH I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO STAR REVIEW, BUT ONE STAR IS AS LOW AS POSSIBLE. I was looking for a 1965 Shelby Cobra replica and found one at the Gateway Dallas location. They were very dishonest and misleading when describing the vehicle. I went to look at a car at their Orlando location. They did have the car ready as requested. They were freindly at first until I actually saw the car. It was completly unsafe and dangerous. Disc brakes had been installed on the front with an original single chamber master cylinder and no proportioing valve. If anybody drove this thing on the road, they would have locked up the rear brakes and crashed. The tires rubbed the fenders so badly you could only turn the wheel one revolution without grinding to a halt as the tires hit the fenders. Not to mention rust and filler everywhere plus a pool of oil on the ground everytime you stopped the car. I understand this is a consignment place and all, but they are going to get some unsuspecting person killed with lack of even basic inspections of the cars. Despite all of this I decided to make an offer knowing that the car would need to be towed and a lot of work. Told them the car was unsafe and had multiple issues and made an offer several thousand under asking. The answer to my offer was two words "keep looking". That is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I told them thank you and left. More
