Gateway Chevrolet - Service Center

Let me start by saying i have been going to Gateway for at least 8-10 years and probably since they opened so it pains me say i am not sure i will be returning. Never have I taken a vehicle into a dealer at least 8-10 years and probably since they opened so it pains me say i am not sure i will be returning. Never have I taken a vehicle into a dealer get charged for a repair that doesn't fix the issue and get told it was probably my low battery voltage. My truck was at Gateway for a total of 4 weeks to fix a turn signal switch in the steering column which would flash the brights on when I turn the right signal on. They said I had a short in my cluster which was causing the issue $500 to fix. I received the truck back and it was not fixed. return the truck few days later as i also paid $2000 for a new AC system which also was not working correctly. Upon my return the second time they said the mechanic fixed the turn signal issue with a part off another truck and they didn't want to charge me for it so there was no paperwork. Well two weeks later and the issue still happens intermittently meaning they probably just cleaned it or did something to the old switch to make it work for a little while. The AC ended up costing me a another $900 because they changed everything except the Condenser, so the air was humid and did not feel cool. At least the AC was working correctly when I received the truck back, but you would think they would know that the condenser has to be changed when you say the compressor went out. The service reps are nice guys but that only goes so far. More
